GDS Consulting – Business Analyst/PMO -  Senior/Staff

The Opportunity

We are currently looking for professionals at Senior or Staff level with expertise in PMO, project management to be a part of P&U Sector team of GDS Consulting Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your key responsibilities

• Analyze, understand, and document client requirements from a business viewpoint and collaborate with the client and delivery team to derive optimal solutions.
• Serve as a liaison between Client Teams and the Technical Team.
• Facilitate communication among various teams to ensure that project requirements and the client's overall needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Lead/support client workshops
• Identify the requirements for integration with any proprietary or third-party systems and provide comprehensive details about these systems to both Solution Architects and the Technical Team.
• Validate system design by initiating, reviewing, and coordinating user acceptance testing.
• Participate in project reviews to ensure solutions and systems meet quality standards, reduce errors, and align with clients' requirements.
• Use broad knowledge to help clients understand and implement new systems and procedures, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless business operations.
• Seek out opportunities for transformation and propose innovative ideas or recommend strategies for the client to become fully digital, thereby outshining competitors and securing a market advantage in the Digital Era.
• Coordinate with the DM/PM to drive SteerCo and capture action items ad track it to closure.
• Support EM on project governance and executive reporting

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience in delivering large or medium-sized P&U Sector-specific solutions/AMI/Operational Technologies (ADMS, OMS, DERMS, SCADA), as well as Control Systems engagements.
• Show evidence of consulting competencies, basic OT knowledge, and industry expertise to support client delivery.
• Exhibit a proactive and solution-driven mindset with a readiness to learn and adapt to new technologies to meet client needs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to comprehend complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

• Play a crucial role in business development, including presales, internal engagement, practice development, and knowledge management.
• Have hands-on experience working with clients throughout various stages of the implementation lifecycle.
• Ability to build executive presentations.
• Basic data analysis skills as well as derive meaningful insights out of data using data visualization (Preferred)

To qualify for the role, you must have.

• For the Senior position, candidates need to have relevant experience in PMO/PM across ADMS, OMS, DERMS, AMI, SCADA Implementation and/or technical advisory, with a total experience of 6 to 10 years.
• For the Staff position, candidates need to have relevant experience in PMO/PM across ADMS, OMS, DERMS, AMI, SCADA Implementation and/or technical advisory, with a total experience of 2 to 5 years.
• Candidates should exhibit a deep understanding of BA functional concepts, have specific knowledge in AMI/OT(ADMS, OMS, DERMS, SCADA), and be skilled in conducting Gap analysis.
• They should also be well-acquainted with AMI/OT (ADMS, OMS, DERMS, SCADA), its associated products/technologies, frameworks, business metadata management, and relevant architectural components.
• Candidates should possess strong business analysis skills.
• They should demonstrate excellent command over designing business processes.

Ideally, you’ll also be.

• Good Business Writing skills
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and effectively.
• Demonstrate a sense of end-to-end accountability, consistently ensuring customer satisfaction and delivery excellence.
• Adept at prioritizing deliveries in cooperation with the implementation team
• Understanding of Agile concepts
• Experience working with Power/Utility clients/engagements
• Knowledge of Power BI/Tableau
• Candidates flexible to work in US and UK time zone
• Knowledge of MS Project 
• Business analysis skills
