Research & Thought Leadership Manager
About the Role
The Research & Thought Leadership Manager is responsible for shaping EY’s market-facing point of view by leading rigorous research and developing insight-driven thought leadership that advances our brand and supports key business priorities. This role integrates deep analytical capability with strong editorial leadership to create content that influences clients, media, and the broader marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Research Strategy & Insight Development
- Lead end-to-end research programs—market scans, trend analyses, competitive intelligence, expert interviews, and data synthesis.
- Identify emerging themes, opportunity areas, and market shifts that can inform EY’s strategic direction and content priorities.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights that strengthen EY’s relevance and leadership in the marketplace.
- Thought Leadership Development
- Develop high-impact thought leadership assets including flagship reports, whitepapers, executive POVs, articles, and insight briefs.
- Craft clear, compelling narratives that communicate complex ideas in a simple, authoritative manner.
- Ensure content aligns with EY’s messaging architecture, brand tone, and quality standards.
- Stakeholder & SME Collaboration
- Partner with business leaders, partners, and subject-matter experts to shape viewpoints and validate insights.
- Facilitate research interviews, ideation discussions, and content development workshops.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, review cycles, and approvals with professionalism and clarity.
- Content Transformation & Multi-Format Storytelling
- Convert research outputs into integrated content formats—videos, infographics, social campaigns, leadership presentations, and digital experiences.
- Support studio teams with data-backed scripts and narrative structures for visual storytelling.
- Maintain message discipline and consistency across all channels.
- Measurement, Governance & Knowledge Management
- Develop frameworks to measure the impact, reach, and resonance of thought leadership content.
- Maintain a central repository of insights, research summaries, and thought leadership assets.
- Establish standard processes for research methodology, content development, and approvals.

Qualifications
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Economics, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in research, insights, consulting, thought leadership, or strategic communications.
- Experience in professional services, advisory, or enterprise-level research environments preferred.
