Job Description: GDS India Regional CSR Lead - Bangalore
Role Overview
The India Regional CSR Lead will be responsible for designing and executing large-scale volunteering programs, mobilizing volunteers from service line teams, and driving impactful local social initiatives in alignment with EY Ripples focus areas and GDS Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategies. This role will collaborate with business leaders, champion volunteers, and local NGOs to maximize social impact and foster a culture of volunteering across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Volunteering Program Design & Execution
- Develop and implement large-scale volunteering programs, mobilizing volunteers from business teams, and deliver on the goals for the region
- Curate and execute local social impact projects with NGOs, that create meaningful engagement opportunities for GDS people in the region in alignment with EY Ripples and GDS CR strategies.
- Identify engage key stakeholders and business leaders to champion volunteering efforts.
- Build and maintain a network of champion volunteers to support projects and volunteer program execution including volunteer mobilization.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Identify, onboard, and nurture relationships with new local partners and NGOs to expand outreach and impact.
- With a ‘Client Centricity’ mindset collaborate with business leadership and teams to and grow the volunteering base within each business teams/service lines.
- Represent the region in strategic initiatives, including skilling and catalyst programs, by mobilizing suitable volunteers.
- Collaborate effectively with teams, including WES, Tech, Procurement and support functions to ensure seamless delivery of programs
- Become a ‘Trusted Adviser’ to business teams on Corporate Responsibility and ‘giving back’. Be a strategic partner through credibility, judgment, and meaningful relationships and consistently act in the best interests of our clients (our SL leaders and teams) and the organization.
- Program Management, Impact Monitoring, teaming
- Monitor project delivery, compliance, budget utilization, and impact for all local and assigned projects.
- Track and share timely reports on volunteering activities, outcomes, and impact stories to demonstrate value and progress.
- Contribute to GDS CR knowledge management covering people, process and performances.
- Ensure all programs adhere to EY compliance standards and reporting requirements.
- Support team members within CR and colleagues within GDS to progress mutual goals
Progress personal growth and learning through both EY enabled learning platforms and external role-suitable learning.
Skills & Attributes Required
- Strong Project Management Skills
- Proven ability to design, plan, and execute complex projects and events.
- Experience in tracking budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Knowledge of Social Sector
- Understanding of program design and delivery in the social/CSR sector.
- Experience working with NGOs and community partners.
- Stakeholder Management
- Ability to identify, engage, and influence diverse stakeholders, including business leaders and volunteers.
- Networking and relationship-building skills.
- Communication Skills
- Practical written and verbal communication for engaging stakeholders and reporting impact.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in CSR sector, volunteering, or social sector roles.
- Experience in program/project management and working with virtual teams is desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency.
