EY GDS Consulting – Non-financial Services – Third-Party Risk Management - NFS TPRM – Senior Manager

As part of our EY- NFS TPRM team, you will help clients enhance their business performance by translating their strategies into realities. Working with EY-high performing teams, you will help clients to grow, innovate, protect, and optimize their business performance.

 

The opportunity

As Risk Consulting Associate Director, you'll actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships. With the guidance of partners, directors, and other Associate Directors, you'll identify potential business opportunities for EY.

You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. In line with our commitment to quality, you'll consistently drive projects to completion and confirm that work is of high quality. When working on engagements, you'll report to higher levels of management, who will expect you to anticipate and identify risks, and raise any issues with them as appropriate.

As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach, and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

 

Client Responsibilities

  • Participate and lead Third Party Risk engagements
    • Design and implement third-party risk frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
    • Conduct TPRM assessments including vendor due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and periodic reviews
    • Support clients in vendor lifecycle management including onboarding, assessment, monitoring, and offboarding
    • Provide guidance on fourth-party risk management and supply chain risk considerations
  • Help manage the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders
  • Drive-in business development initiatives along with client management and account management
  • Build strong internal relationships within Risk Consulting practice and with other services across the organization
  • Build connects with client stakeholders, understand their business challenges/pain areas and work with leadership to propose innovative solutions

 

People Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a team of professionals strong in TPRM program design and transformation
  • Develop people through effective coaching and mentoring
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback
  • Contribute to people-related initiatives including recruiting, retaining, appraisal and training
  • Contribute towards building and strengthening team competency for Third-Party Risk Management and Risk consulting
  • Participate in the organization-wide people initiatives
  • Maintain an educational program to develop skills of team members continually

 

Decision-Making Responsibilities:

  • Support management in workforce planning, resourcing strategy, go to market strategy and demand generation
  • Understand the business requirements clearly and lead practice development initiatives as required
  • Bring out of the box thinking mindset, and analytical thinking capability to enhance service delivery
  • Always maintain connections with clients to tap opportunities for constant growth and improvement
  • Understand the process gaps and propose preventive/corrective action where appropriate
  • Lead business growth, pursuits, and client proposals for Third Party Risk, directly working with the regional partners and Executive Directors

 

Technical & Delivery Responsibilities

  • Work with the team and client to create engagement plans and strategies that meet objectives and comply with professional standards, addressing inherent engagement risks.
  • Lead TPRM program design, implementation, and maturity assessments.
  • Oversee vendor risk assessments, including security, privacy, compliance, operational, and financial risk evaluations.
  • Guide clients on TPRM technology selection, implementation, and optimization.
  • Support remediation planning and vendor issue resolution.
  • Plan and schedule engagements; determine and deploy teams with the right skillsets; periodically review engagement status and work products.
  • Perform quality reviews of team deliverables and ensure adherence to EY methodologies.
  • Review status updates and prepare management and audit committee presentations.
  • Use current technology/tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.

 

Other Responsibilities (Client, Leadership, Business, and Practice Building)

  • Maintain strong client relationships to manage expectations and ensure effective service delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong project management, inspire teamwork and accountability across engagement teams.
  • Manage/track engagement financials (fees, margins, profitability).
  • Assist Partners/Executive Directors/Associate Directors with business development on existing engagements by mobilizing resources, accessing key contacts, and supervising proposal preparation.
  • Create innovative client insights, adapt methods to operational needs, and contribute to thought leadership.
  • Stay current on business/economic developments, regulatory changes, and relevant standards/pronouncements impacting clients.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge—emerging trends, issues/challenges, key players, and leading practices.
  • Contribute to improving project operational efficiency and internal initiatives.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

Knowledge and Skills Requirements (mandatory):

  • Demonstrated experience in team management, business development, end-to-end account management, and led delivery for multi-year mandates
  • Hands-on experience with TPRM tools and platforms such as ProcessUnity, ServiceNow, OneTrust, Prevalent, Archer, BitSight, SecurityScorecard, or similar
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, HITRUST, HIPAA, ITIL, and GRC frameworks.
  • Experience in vendor risk assessment methodologies including inherent risk assessment, control evaluation, and residual risk determination
  • Understanding of contract risk assessment and vendor management best practices
  • Knowledge of emerging risks including cyber risk, AI/ML risks, ESG considerations, and geopolitical risks in vendor relationships
  • Experience with vendor due diligence, continuous monitoring, and fourth-party risk management
  • Familiarity with vendor risk rating systems and risk-based monitoring approaches

Education Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record with a blue-chip consulting organization or a Fortune 500 organization
  • A strong academic record including a post-graduate degree
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as CA, MBA, MCA, MS
  • Good to have certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, project management certifications like PMP.
  • Professional experience with other Big4 or paneled SI/ ITeS companies
