Consulting- Regulatory Compliance COE – Senior Manager

 

As part of our Consulting, we are looking for a – senior consulting professional to lead the design, development, and deployment of regulatory compliance solutions and frameworks for clients, along with building and scaling a Regulatory Compliance Centre of Excellence (COE).

 

The role will drive compliance transformation initiatives including compliance monitoring frameworks, regulatory inventories, internal audits, and technology-enabled compliance solutions.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and implement regulatory compliance monitoring frameworks including compliance organisation structure, control framework, policies and procedures, employee trainings, and compliance communication program, tailored to client size, industry, and geography.
  • Monitor regulatory changes: Align with senior leadership on the critical areas to be tracked and followed. Engage with client leadership to identify key regulatory risk areas and define compliance priorities. Develop regulatory compliance libraries / databases categorized by industry, geography, and regulatory applicability
  • Lead regulatory change management for clients with a focus on analysing the impact of new regulations / changes to existing regulations; support and guide team in developing controls to comply with new regulations for clients, industry and region as applicable.
  • Regulatory risk assessments and audits: Lead internal audit, compliance reviews and control testing to assess effectiveness of regulatory adherence and control frameworks for clients
  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary COE team (compliance, audit, research, analytics)
  • Drive delivery of client engagements including compliance assessments, implementation programs, and remediation initiatives
  • Establish quality assurance standards for compliance framework design, audit outputs, and regulatory interpretations to be delivered to clients.
  • Develop thought leadership and market-facing insights on regulatory compliance trends, automation, and best practices
  • Drive innovation through use of AI / digital tools in compliance monitoring, obligation tracking, and reporting

  • Strong understanding of risk, internal controls, and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Ability to design scalable compliance architectures and operating models
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with particular attention to precision of language and ability to organize information logically.
  • Professional certification (CCEP/CFE/CIPP/CA/CS /CIA/CISA) preferred (degree in Business, Accounting, or work experience in risk and internal audit team of Big 4 preferred).
  • Proven competence for meeting deadlines, multi-tasking and managing work under ambiguity/uncertainty (e.g., changing factors, limited information)
  • Proven competence for managing, coaching, and developing a team.
  • Experience in stakeholder management including CXO-level interactions
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables effectively in order to achieve optimum results.
  • Proficient in MS-Office Suite, data analysis & validation.
  • Experience in using databases such as one-source, Thomson Reuters, Lexis Nexis etc.

 

 

What you will need:

 

  • Master's (Management, Economics, Finance, MBA etc.) or a Degree in Law (LLB).
  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance including designing and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks and programs
  • Significant experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance reviews, and risk advisory engagements
  • Hands-on experience in internal controls, SOX/internal audit, compliance transformation, or regulatory consulting
  • Cross-industry exposure to regulatory regimes (e.g. Healthcare, Lifesciences, Power and Utility, technology, etc.)
  • At least 4 years of experience in leading and managing a team of Compliance/risk professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and relay ideas, engage clients and work in global teams.
  • Experience in building compliance repositories / regulatory inventories or working with compliance management tools
  • Exposure to RegTech / automation tools / data-driven compliance solutions (preferred)

 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in setting up COEs, shared services, or scalable delivery models
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to think differently and innovate.
