Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Fund Accounting & NAV 
    • Manage full-cycle accounting for PE funds, SPVs, and holding entities under IFRS/US GAAP/Ind AS
    • Prepare and review quarterly NAV calculations, capital account statements, and fund financials         
    • Handle capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and carried interest computations         
    • Maintain books for multiple entities with complex fund structures                            

 

  • Investor Reporting & Compliance
    • Prepare quarterly investor reports, capital account statements, and LP communications  
    • Coordinate with fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting                  
    • Support annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance – SEBI AIF Regulations, FATCA/CRS, FEMA
    • Liaise with Big 4 auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel                                               

 

  • Deal & Portfolio Support
    • Work with deal teams on accounting for new investments, exits, and portfolio company valuations
    • Review transaction documents for accounting implications – SPA, SHA, term sheets                
    • Monitor portfolio company reporting and track valuation inputs                                             
    • Support GP entity accounting                                                                                  

 

  • Treasury & Operations
    • Manage fund-level cash forecasts, banking operations, and FX hedging                                
    • Oversee drawdown notices, distribution calculations, and LP wire processing                
    • Drive process improvements and automation                                                  
    • Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance                                                 

 

  • Team & Stakeholder Management
    • Mentor junior accountants and review their work
    • Present financial updates to CFO and senior management                                                   

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

Experience:

  • 10-15 years
  • CA / CPA / ACCA* qualified; CFA or MBA-Finance is a plus
  • 6-10 years* post-qualification experience in PE/VC fund accounting, fund administration, or Big 4 AFS practice 
  • Strong knowledge of PE fund structures, partnership accounting, and waterfall models
  • Hands-on experience with IFRS/US GAAP and SEBI AIF guidelines
  • Proficiency in fund accounting systems: Investran, eFront, Allvue, or similar        

 

Preferred: 

 

  • Experience with cross-border structures, Mauritius/Singapore SPVs, and tax treaty implications 
  • Knowledge of alternative investment tax matters – pass-through taxation, Section 9A    
  • Prior experience working with LPs, custodians, and fund administrators
  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy with large datasets
  • Ability to handle multiple funds and tight quarterly reporting deadlines
  • High integrity – you’re dealing with investor capital and confidential data
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, lean PE environment with high ownership  

 

We are a leading Private Equity firm looking for a Senior Accountant with 6-10 years of experience to join our Finance & Fund Operations team. You’ll own fund-level accounting, investor reporting.
