Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence


Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Proficiency in ML libraries (Scikit-learn, XGBoost), NLP (spaCy, transformers), and

GenAI (OpenAI APIs).

Deep understanding of HR domains and data including employee lifecycle,

organizational design, and performance.

Solid grasp of statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience integrating models into SAP R3, SuccessFactors, and Betterplace or custom

HR apps.

Knowledge of data ethics, explainable AI, and responsible AI frameworks.

The Principal Data Scientist – HR Domain is responsible for leading advanced analytics and  AI initiatives that drive actionable insights across the employee lifecycle. This role partners  with HR, business, and technology stakeholders to design predictive models, workforce  planning tools, and generative AI solutions. The individual will contribute to a data-driven culture by developing innovative use cases, mentoring analysts, and embedding ethical and  explainable AI into HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics Leadership

o   Define and lead high-impact analytics projects across hiring, retention, performance,

and engagement.

o   Develop roadmaps for HR AI/ML use cases aligned with organizational goals.

Model Development & Deployment

o   Build and validate predictive models for attrition, flight risk, talent mobility, and DEI

outcomes.

o   Apply machine learning, NLP, and generative AI to unstructured HR data (resumes,

surveys, feedback).

o   Operationalize models into HR platforms or dashboards via APIs or embedded

analytics.

Data Management & Quality

o   Collaborate with data engineering to ensure clean, well-documented HR datasets.  
o   Integrate data from HRIS (SAP R3, SuccessFactors, Betterplace), ATS, LMS, and

survey platforms.

o   Promote data governance, privacy, and compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, etc.

Mentorship & Enablement

o   Mentor junior data scientists and HR analysts on best practices and advanced

methods.

o   Conduct training on statistical thinking, Python/R programming, and data

storytelling.

o   Promote experimentation, agile data science, and responsible AI within HR.

Measurement & Impact

o   Define KPIs and value metrics to track analytics impact on HR outcomes.

o   Present findings to senior leadership using dashboards, simulations, and

visualizations.
