Role: Cash management for Global Business Services

Location: Gurgaon

Tenure: 9-12 months fixed term contract on EY payroll

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • The GBS team develops and manages business service centers to execute accounting and transactional activities resulting in efficiency, quality, consistency and strengthened controls
  • The position will be responsible for Cash Management service line deliveries to the region consisting of multiple markets (countries) as per the Service Level Agreement with Global Business Services. The role would require him / her to reconcile and report banking transactions, accounting and related Financial reporting for the market which includes timely book closure in Oracle Financials in accordance with Local Accounting Guidelines, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles); ensure compliance with general internal controls, including those derived from the SOX Law (Sarbanes Oxley Act), as well as the established procedures and policies of the company;
  • The incumbent would be expected to display high standards of engagement with customer stakeholders, GBS account managers, management and other stakeholders.
  • The incumbent is expected to deliver high quality services coupled with high level of customer satisfaction and stakeholders’ management.
  • Perform month end closing activities and all activities necessary to close Cash management activities.
  • Will be one point of contact for Onshore Service Delivery leads and will need to work with and execute necessary tasks as assigned by them and strive towards highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Governance of open issues assigned / highlighted by Onshore service delivery leads and its resolutions in timely manner.
  • Manage and execute Collection accounting and cash application in system within timelines and maintaining accuracy parameters. Follow up with customers for pending requests and information required to complete activities and meeting SLAs.
  • Ensure reconciliations of control accounts are uptodate in line with policy. Perform / assist customer reconciliation and resolve open items
  • Prepare receivable statements, ageing statements and necessary month end reporting in line with policy and deliver analytical and other reports as required from time to time.
  • General Ledger accounting spanning outside of Banking / treasury / cash management related activities.
  • Analyze and report monthly metrics to demonstrate the performance of GBS against agreed SLA’s as established in the service level agreements
  • Collaborate with internal customers to resolve queries related to accounting issues
  • Ensure all processes are executed in line with documented SLA’s and drive effective conflict resolution with customer market teams.
  • Ensure the operation of the data governance process for the market, ensuring that internal information controls are complied with by clients and information requestors
  • Support implementation of system and process enhancements to drive efficiencies and scalability
  • Stay informed about latest company practices and guidelines

Skills and attributes

 

  • Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in commerce / accounting required. Professional qualification like CA / CMA / CS would be given preference.
  • Minimum of 6 years cash management / treasury management along with bank reconciliation from both a design and operational perspective in a high volume environment.
  • The incumbent will need to be very good in accounting and have extensive knowledge and experience in the application and usage of largescale ERP systems
  • Prior experience in a shared services environment / Treasury department with high volume of transactions will be preferred.
  • Experience in the use of excel and other data manipulation & analytics tools is required
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Focus on service KPIs including timeliness and quality and high levels of customer service and limited supervision required.
  • As our GBS centers will typically work with the Global accounting team, the incumbent is required to have excellent English communication skills
  • Work timings will be in Europe time zones.
