Job Title: Business Operations Manager
Role: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of the team and managing the entire lifecycle of employees. This role involves coordinating various aspects such as onboarding, transition, training, HR and Talent support, aligning team members, handling reimbursements, organizing events, managing travel logistics, procurement, software and license management, and serving as a project manager and coordinator.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit, ensuring a seamless experience for team members.
  • Collaborate with HR and contribute to hiring planning for the extended team, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Provide HR and Talent support, offering guidance on policies, benefits, and performance management.
  • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring new employees are integrated effectively into the team and organization.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for employees during internal transfers or promotions.
  • Coordinate and manage training programs to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure alignment of team members with organizational objectives and their respective roles and responsibilities.
  • Administer reimbursements for business-related expenses, maintaining accurate records.
  • Organize and manage team events, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for team members, as required, and manage related logistics.
  • Handle ticketing and resolution of administrative and logistical issues.
  • Lead event management efforts, overseeing the planning and execution of various team activities.
  • Oversee procurement processes, ensuring the team has necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Manage software licenses and tools, ensuring availability and functionality for team members.
  • Supervise a team of executive assistants, if applicable, to ensure effective support for the team.
  • Act as a project manager and coordinator for specific initiatives within the team.
  • Responsible for planning, budgeting and overall management of events hosted across GDS locations. Coordinate with other functions like marketing/ technology to develop event design and materials, and outreach for the events.  
  • End to end planning and execution of Service line specific events and coordinate with all co dependent parties for ensuring smooth delivery
  • Work closely with the business teams with deep knowledge of the processes to support the overall activities and smooth functioning of various business teams while providing solution or support as per the demand. Offer exceptional client service to all the stake holders through in-depth involvement and understanding / foreseeing the requirements and taking actions accordingly.
  • Coach/ mentor the team to guide them to perform to the best of the ability
  • Successfully resolve any issues that have been escalated and further escalate any non-resolved issues as per the hierarchy
     

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in operations management, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex situations.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Lead the project team which will comprise of staff from audit and client’s Finance function
