Position summary
The Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with CCaSS leadership, Partners, and other Senior Managers on client engagements across regions within EY. The primary responsibility will be consulting with clients on technical EHS advisory capabilities; collaborating with partners, senior managers, and clients to influence EHS strategy, balancing occupational health and safety risk and client expectations; ensuring our engagement team thoroughly understands our clients’ unique EHS needs; building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless, integrated service; managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve our products and processes.
While the Senior Manager will be based out of our Gurgaon/Bangalore/Mumbai/Kolkata/Hyderabad office, the individual will be required to travel to other countries (short term) to execute the client engagements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the following EHS solutions using the Global service delivery framework:
- EHS Advisory and Audits
- EHS Strategy and transformation, EHS program advisory, process improvements, and regulatory compliance
- Environmental management system design and implementation
- EHS Regulatory scanning and Gap assessments
- Hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA/ ISO 31000)
- Process Safety Management, Management of Change frameworks, and Operational Excellence
- Environment Health & Safety due diligence
- Provide the team with subject matter expertise, lead engagements, and strategic direction to deliver client deliverables.
- Provide subject matter expertise on EHS, inter-alia, including risk frameworks, governance, management and measurement, stress testing, strategy, and regulatory expectations
- Contribute to materials, tools, and methodologies to support EHS proposition in client meetings, engagements, events, and broader thought leadership
- Maintain detailed knowledge of global EHS regulations and awareness of market trends, competitor activity, and offerings
- Collaborate with global stakeholders on the development and coordination of EHS solutions
- Lead multiple engagements, delivering high-quality EHS solutions to our clients, including managing the delivery team
- Winning in the market
- Develop and implement plans strategic to EHS and global CCaSS that contributes to the business growth, recognizing the risks and opportunities of business/ commercial trends.
- Manage and grow EHS services to our multiple regions, with high-quality service across all engagements, by being connected, responsive, and insightful internally and with clients.
- Identifying new EHS markets for deploying the global delivery model with the GDS Leadership
- Create short- and long-term business plans and align them with the Area/Regional CCaSS leaders and their market leadership plans (MLPs).
- Focus on developing solutions using technology and data analytics to drive efficiencies in the markets they oversee.

- Foster a diverse and inclusive team environment by empowering teams - mobilize team members' strengths, trust, and collaboration so they are focused on achieving the highest standards and results.
- Guide team members on technical areas of high risk & complexity, participate actively in performance management & learning process of the team; help build the career value that the team gains from working with GDS CCaSS
- Providence guidance to leaders in CCaSS on the key priorities while managing several medium to large-size projects and efficient & effective team allocation to projects and initiatives based on skills, career goals & clients' expectations.

- Take responsibility for managing risk at the practice and engagement level -maintain independence and objectivity, complying personally (and challenging colleagues’ and teams ‘adherence) with all applicable professional standards, EY policies, and regulatory requirements
- Deliver training on CCaSS methodology and other current market trends and industry issues
- Operational Excellence
- Strong focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and cost. It is critical to improving overall utilization levels in GDS CCaSS, especially at senior and manager levels, while increasing overall retention and ensuring people development.
- Work with defined geographies and create targets for delivered hours. Responsible for successfully monitoring the actual results against the budget for key KPIs like the number of hours delivered, utilization, linearity of hours etc.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
- Postgraduate degree in OH&S/Sustainability/Environment or Engineering (chemical/mechanical/civil/ electrical/ Environment/ Safety/ Petroleum) from reputed institutes in India focusing on EHS issues.
- 11+ years of experience in the space of EHS, preferably with reputed consulting firms, engineering firms, and industry
- Certification of NEBOSH/IOSH/ ASP/ CSP or other globally recognized professional certifications are good to have
- A deep understanding of the marketplace, as well as commonly used EHS terminologies, processes, and regulations
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations such as OSHA, EPA, NIOSH, UKHSE, ILO, WHS, ISO, and other codes of practice across the Americas, EMEA, and Oceania.
- Relationship-building skills with global leadership; ability to interact with all levels credibly
- Influencing skills and ability to work within ambiguity and build consensus across diverse groups.

- Excellent communication & articulation skills with a focus on stakeholder management
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, where necessary
