As part of our EY‑GDS team, you will play a critical role in shaping and elevating our clients’ Procurement Operations. As a manager, you will lead complex engagements that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance and controls, and embed digital solutions across the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle. You will guide teams in delivering measurable improvements in service delivery, process performance, and procurement maturity, while developing the next generation of operations talent. Your leadership and operational expertise will directly influence how our clients modernize their procurement function. Additionally, you will contribute to building our procurement operations capability, supporting go‑to‑market initiatives, and leading key operational excellence pursuits.

 

The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager with 8–12+ years of strong procurement and supply chain operations expertise, backed by a solid Managed Service background and deep knowledge across core procurement sub‑functions such as P2P, sourcing operations, supplier management, contract, spend analytics and operational governance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, operations‑focused leader capable of designing and optimizing procurement operating models, driving process excellence, embedding digital procurement capabilities, and leading large‑scale transformation initiatives. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, the ability to build trusted relationships at senior levels, and the leadership skills necessary to guide high‑performing teams while delivering measurable, high‑impact improvements in procurement operations.

 

Your key responsibilities

The Manager will lead end‑to‑end Procurement Operations across PR‑to‑PO processing, Contract Lifecycle Management, Supplier Management, Spend Analytics, and Managed Services Governance. Responsibilities include overseeing the requisition‑to‑order process, ensuring contract activation, amendments, renewals, and compliance, and aligning all transactions with contracts, catalogs, and pricing agreements. The role will also manage transitions through knowledge transfer, documentation, readiness assessments, and stabilization while ensuring SLA performance and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Sourcing & Contract Management

  • Coordinate with Sourcing teams for smooth handoffs, sourcing event outputs, and contract‑to‑catalog enablement.
  • Govern Buying Channel adherence by ensuring appropriate channels are used (catalogs, guided buying, spot buy, sourcing events, free‑text requests).
  • Oversee Catalog Management including updates, content accuracy, pricing validation, and user enablement.
  • Manage Vendor Master operations including supplier creation, modification, validation, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure PR/PO alignment with active contracts, catalogs, sourcing outcomes, and pricing agreements.

 

PR to PO (Requisition to Order) & I2P Operations

  • Manage end‑to‑end PR‑to‑PO operations including requisition validation, approvals, PO creation, amendments, and closures.
  • Ensure integration between PR‑PO and I2P processes (invoice compliance, 3‑way match readiness, GR/SES completion, accrual support).
  • Govern procurement controls, approval hierarchies, audit readiness, and compliance to procurement policies.
  • Lead Procurement Helpdesk operations including ticket resolution, issue categorization, process clarifications, and user support.

 

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

  • Oversee contract creation, activation, amendments, renewals, and expiry management.
  • Ensure operational alignment between contracts, catalogs, POs, and sourcing outcomes.
  • Coordinate CLM workflows with legal, sourcing, and business teams to ensure compliance and risk controls.

 

Supplier Management & Governance

  • Lead end to end supplier onboarding, validations, documentation checks, and linkages to Vendor Master.
  • Manage supplier performance, issue escalation, compliance monitoring, and resolution.
  • Govern supplier scorecards, KPIs, SLAs, and regular performance review cadences.
  • Monitor supplier risk, dependency, and adherence to contract terms.

 

Transition Management & Hypercare Stabilization

  • Lead Pre Knowledge Transfer (KT), KT planning, KT delivery, Job Shadowing, Reverse Job Shadowing, and certification processes for transitions.
  • Develop and maintain Desktop Procedures (DTPs), SOPs, and process maps ensuring standardized BPO delivery.
  • Manage Go Live readiness including dry runs, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive Hypercare and stabilization post go live, ensuring SLA performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

 

Managed Services Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Govern managed services delivery including SLAs, KPIs, productivity, quality, and compliance.
  • Act as the primary interface between client stakeholders, service providers, category managers, sourcing teams, and internal operations.
  • Lead governance calls, issue escalations, performance reviews, and communication rhythms.
  • Ensure strong alignment across procurement operations, contracts, and finance counterparts.

 

Spend Analytics & Value Delivery

  • Drive spend analytics across categories, regions, and suppliers to uncover insights on cost reduction, demand optimization, guided buying adoption, maverick‑spend control, and sourcing‑pipeline opportunities.
  • Create dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decisions for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and finance teams to monitor savings performance and benefits realization.

 

Systems Enablement & Digital Procurement

  • Leverage platforms such as SAP Ariba, ServiceNow, ERP systems, supplier portals, and BI tools to enable operational efficiency.
  • Ensure data accuracy, controls compliance, and system workflow optimization.
  • Support system testing, UAT, enhancements, and issue resolution in partnership with IT and digital procurement teams.

 

Continuous Improvement, Audit, & Governance

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process re-engineering, and standardization across procurement workflows.
  • Support internal audits, policy reviews, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
  • Maintain process documentation and drive operational excellence initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide team members within procurement operations, building capability and process understanding.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • 8–12 years of experience in Supplier Management, Spend Analytics, Procurement Operations, or related roles, with a proven track record in leading procurement process transitions and driving delivery excellence.
  • Strong experience in supplier governance, spend analysis, and stakeholder management.
  • Hands-on exposure to procurement and analytics tools such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Jaggaer, ServiceNow, ERP platforms, and BI tools.
  • Proven ability to operate in managed services and transformation environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Supply chain consulting experience in Big 4, Supply chain global consulting firms preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, depending on project requirements

 

To qualify for the role, you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline.
  • MBA or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
  • Consulting or global delivery experience is an advantage.
