Job Title: Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Manager

 

Experience Required

 

  • 15+ Years of Experience in Procure-to-Pay Operations, Transformation, and Managed Services Operations

 

 

Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven PTP Manager with 15+ years of experience managing end-to-end Procure-to-Pay operations in a global environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across the entire PTP lifecycle, including Procurement, Vendor Master Data, Invoice Processing, Payments, Employee Expenses, T&E Management, Audit & Compliance, Vendor Reconciliation, and Reporting.

 

The individual should have strong hands-on experience with SAP (ECC/S4HANA) and SAP Concur, along with demonstrated success in leading process transformation, automation, standardization, migration, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, operational excellence, and the ability to drive digital transformation programs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

End-to-End PTP Operations Management

  • Own and manage the complete Procure-to-Pay process lifecycle.
  • Ensure efficient processing of:
    • Purchase Requisitions
    • Purchase Orders
    • Goods Receipt / Service Entry
    • Invoice Processing
    • Vendor Queries
    • Supplier Statement Reconciliation
    • Payment Processing
    • Travel & Expense Management
    • Vendor Master Data Management
  • Drive adherence to SLAs, KPIs, controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities related to PTP.

 

SAP & Concur Process Management

  • Serve as the functional SME for SAP ECC/S4HANA and SAP Concur.
  • Drive optimization of PTP processes through system enhancements.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to resolve system issues and improve user experience.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and rollout activities.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Concur and SAP platforms.

 

GRIR (Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt) Management

  • Drive governance and resolution of Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt (GRIR) balances.
  • Partner with Procurement, Operations, and Business teams to resolve aged GRIR items.
  • Monitor GRIR aging and ensure timely reconciliation and closure.
  • Establish preventive controls to minimize GRIR exceptions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve three-way match performance and reduce unmatched transactions.

 

Debit Balance Management & Reconciliation

  • Own governance and clearance of supplier debit balances.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and root-cause analysis of debit balance creation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, Business Finance, and Vendors for timely resolution.
  • Drive reduction of aged debit balances through structured action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and month-end close requirements.
  • Lead account reconciliation and balance sheet review activities related to PTP accounts.

 

Transformation & Process Excellence

  • Lead global transformation initiatives focused on:
    • Process Standardization
    • Centralization
    • Shared Services Migration
    • Global Process Harmonization
    • Operating Model Design
  • Conduct process assessments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement future-state operating models.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices.

 

Automation & Digital Enablement

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across PTP processes.
  • Improve productivity, quality, and service delivery through digital initiatives.
  • Establish automation governance and benefit tracking.

 

People Leadership

  • Lead and develop high-performing PTP teams.
  • Manage team capacity, workload planning, and performance.
  • Drive coaching, mentoring, and career development initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and capability-building programs.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with:
    • Finance Leadership
    • Procurement Teams
    • Business Units
    • IT Teams
    • External Vendors
  • Present operational performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for finance transformation initiatives.

 

Risk, Control & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, Internal Controls, Audit Requirements, and Corporate Policies.
  • Monitor process risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Drive governance reviews, control testing, and remediation activities.
  • Support internal and external audits.

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Procure-to-Pay Operations.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end PTP processes in a global/shared services environment.
  • Extensive experience with:
    • SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
    • SAP Concur
    • Invoice Automation Platforms
  • Experience leading transformation, migration, and stabilization programs.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • MBA, CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience in Shared Services, GBS, or GCC environments.
  • Experience with AI, Data Analytics, and Intelligent Automation solutions.
