EY’s Entity Compliance & Governance team (ECG) team is looking for a Staff to help manage engagement portfolios and relationships with our clients and local EY networks. The opportunity

The ECG team, which is part of EY GDS’s Legal Managed Services, provides technology-enabled and innovative solutions to support multinational clients manage the increasing regulatory and legislative demands they face in respect of their global governance, and fulfill their statutory compliance and reporting requirements. The team specializes in managing and delivering the outsourced entity management requirements for some of EY GDS’s largest clients in EMEIA, APAC, the Americas, and worldwide. The successful individual will be based in India and will work closely with one or more of the ECG member firms and coordinate with clients and central management teams across locations.

 

Your key responsibilities

The successful applicant will work on key client accounts, where they will be involved in production of various company secretarial documents. They will assist in drafting documentation for ECG Annual Compliance and Event-Driven changes for various clients. In addition, a key component of the role will be assisting with engagement-related administration including code management and billing.

 

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Client onboarding, updating compliance trackers, and accurate recording of filing deadlines;  
  • Preparing documents for health checks; coordinating with central management teams for deliverables relating to health checks;
  • Ensuring client’s details on legal entity databases are accurate and up to date;
  • Communicating effectively with clients, EY local offices and central management teams;
  • Providing ad hoc assistance as needed for EY local offices i.e. working on proposals, pricing requests, scoping, etc.
  • Assisting with drafting of country play books and runbooks;  
  • Assisting with client-shared mailbox management; liaising with clients on a regular basis;
  • Analysing queries received on shared mailbox, asking relevant questions, resolving issues and providing accurate responses;
  • Learning new tools with respect to database and workflow management and thereafter providing support;
  • Liaising, coordinating, and providing regular updates to senior/manager of the GDS team and as needed to EY local offices;
  • Liaising with other internal EY teams (e.g. EY Law, GCR, etc.); and
  • Liaising with external regulators and advisers, such as lawyers and auditors.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Company secretary qualification as an Associate, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

 

Skills and attributes desirable 

  • Working knowledge of corporate secretarial services/legal entity management
  • Additional language skills
  • Experience/Aptitude of working in a global corporate environment
  • Law Degree
