The opportunity

The India Environmental Social Governance Services (ESGS) Leader will be responsible to build strategy and achieve supplier diversity goals and targets. They will engage with Supply Chain Services and client teams to build internal and external processes to support EY’s supplier diversity and diverse supplier utilization requirements, as well as maintain an external presence with NGOs by building and enhancing the EY brand and our commitment to supplier diversity. This role will report to the Growth Strategy Leader, ESGS Leader.  The ideal candidate has knowledge of supply chain and supplier diversity management practices, great interpersonal skills, an expert in analytics, have a proven track record in program management and experience building deep relationships and consensus across different functions of an organization. The candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently, influence others and continually expand their scope.

 

Your key responsibilities

The India ESGS Leader will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Lead India’s Supplier Diversity strategy that develops, monitors, and reports Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) results to the Supply Chain Services Executive. In addition, the individual will track and report measures for program success.
  • Expand the geographic scope of the program based on the ESG Services 10 step global expansion process 
  • Create processes, procedures, and strategies to enable Supply Chain Services teams to integrate diverse suppliers and sustainable procurement considerations into existing and new sourcing frameworks.
  • Manage the India tools and processes required for a successful program, including data enrichment.
  • Develop and manage internal relationships with India stakeholders to drive growth and adoption of the Supplier Diversity and ESG Programs
  • Serve as SMR on supplier diversity engagements to provide expertise and EY journey to credentialed and support winning in the market
  • Delivers and leads impact programs, supplier outreach and networking events to build relationships and monitor diverse supplier market opportunities.
  • Serve as India’s point of contact for all Supplier Diversity initiatives.
  • Support communications to and training for India to gain and maintain program adoption.
  • Communicate with a wide variety of clients at many different levels, in different business units including our motion picture, television, and home entertainment business units.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and serve as liaison for internal diversity groups.
  • Enhance relationships with Supplier Diversity NGOs and their local/regional affiliates.
  • Proactively develop a diverse supplier network, including recruiting and soliciting diverse suppliers, maintain the diverse supplier portal, encourage diverse supplier certification, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a supplier diversity application vetting process to ensure vendor applications are reviewed in a timely fashion and analyzed for inclusion in ESGS’s supplier database.
  • Identify, evaluate, educate, and develop the capabilities of high potential suppliers to match them with sourcing opportunities that not only meet EY ’s sourcing needs but can also align with client subcontracting.
  • Liaise with EY Ripples and Corporate Responsibility to enable program success.
  • Leverage and form relationships with current entrepreneurship program owners to include diverse suppliers
  • Periodically arrange onsite and virtual events to highlight the availability of diverse businesses enterprise wide.
  • Represent EY in meetings, conferences, panels, industry groups, events, and other forums, as required.
  • Maintain active knowledge/expertise of trends in Supplier Diversity.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise on all relevant Government procurement policies as it relates to diverse suppliers and EY requirements.
  • Support special projects as needed and performs other related duties as required

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in sustainability or procurement are advantageous.
  • Global mind and high level of cultural awareness.
  • Strong team player with ability to work collaboratively, virtually and independently as part of a team at regional and global level.
  • priorities and work well under pressure in a high pace environment.
