IAM Operations Analyst - Application & Tool Support

The opportunity

Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization, a part of Information Security, enables over 330,000 individuals across 140+ countries to access systems and information securely. As a member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team this position will contribute towards execution of an IAM roadmap that meets security requirements, including but not limited to security for, a complex Active Directory (AD) environment, hybrid cloud deployment, mobile computing, policy driven security, SSO, identity lifecycle management, and federation focusing on multiple protocols.

Your key responsibilities

  • The IAM Application & Tool Support Analyst is responsible to support and maintain internal IAM Applications and Tools in an efficient, secure manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing enhanced support services for users and groups across various platforms, including Microsoft Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID and Exchange using SailPoint IIQ, AADC, Shared Folder Management Tool, PowerShell Scripts, MS Power platform and other supporting technologies.
  • Act as second and third tier (Levels 2 + 3) technical support for end-user inquiries and issues; effectively resolving or escalating incidents and problems related to identity and access management services implemented across multiple environments and technology platforms.
  • Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure data quality, integrity, consistency, and compliance across reporting and analytics platforms. Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency by leveraging AI, automation, data insights, documented business rules and reporting logic to implement solutions supporting best practices that enable scalable and data-driven decision-making.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using MS Power platform, Excel, AI and other reporting tools. Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, exceptions, and opportunities for process improvement.  Transform business requirements into meaningful data visualizations and actionable insights. Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Conduct operation-level troubleshooting activities to identify and implement efficient incident resolution action that minimizes end user and/or system downtime.
  • Conduct proper root cause analysis and make recommendations to improve IAM processes or prevent future occurrence of end user access issues.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Moderate analytical skills are required to probe for understanding and appropriately address  IAM user and group management issues in a hybrid environment.
  • Good understanding of Windows File share access management and access control. 
  • Ability to make sound decisions in addressing end-user’s access and other security related issues and to recommend improvements to address security issues or gaps. 
  • Making general decisions without guidance and direction in problem solving following best practices based upon a solid knowledge of the IAM functions, processes and procedures.
  • Driving the priority and time management of own efforts to support/resolve assigned activities and communicate results and findings to end users and management as necessary.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Directory user and group management.  Basic knowledge of MS Azure/Entra ID, AADC, Exchange/Outlook, Windows File Share access and Sailpoint (OneAccess) technologies integrated with automated user/group provisioning to effectively provide enhanced IAM support.
  • Advanced knowledge of EY’s desktop environment (PC applications, standard software, mobile devices, Telephony, network, servers and general connectivity) as well as security access functions provided by Information Security
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboard Development with experience using MS Power Platform, Excel, and related technologies to support business decision-making, operational reporting, and audit requirements for identity data.
  • Experience in developing and supporting business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI), with the ability to leverage AI, automate processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver data-driven solutions for stakeholders.
  • Time management skills to prioritize workload and work through assignments and activities with efficiency and minimal supervision
  • Basic consultative skill to effectively questioning and conduct core issue analysis, select and apply appropriate standards, methods, tools and applications to independently resolve complex incidents and problems.
  • Solid advanced interpersonal skills to deals effectively with individual, group, or situational conflicts through direct interaction with end users.  Able to support peers within IT teams in collaborative activities as well as effectively support training and mentoring assignments to IAM Administrators and others as needed.
  • Strong oral communication skills in the English language to work effectively with end users and IT peers. 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of Security Administration or Identity Provisioning experience in support of IT products or security administration and working knowledge of large IT organization operations.
