The opportunity - HR Business Partner - Mumbai/Bangalore/Gurgaon/Hyderabad/Chennai/Pune

 

The Assistant Manager is a key role within the Talent Team, acting as a bridge between HR and business leaders to ensure the alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives. This role requires a proactive individual who can analyze HR metrics, support employee engagement, facilitate talent management, and contribute to HR process automation and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR processes for a group of 400-600 employees with minimal oversight, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Stakeholder Partnership:

  • Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and report findings to business leaders.
  • Assist employees in adapting to organizational changes and transitions.

Employee Advocacy & Engagement:

  • Generate insights and develop actionable plans to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Guide supervisors on team management, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
  • Share best practices from across the organization with counsellors.
  • Advocate for employee well-being and conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) as per the ECHO Framework.

Talent Management:

  • Facilitate the performance management process, including setting performance standards and guiding managers on providing constructive feedback.
  • Assist counsellors in addressing issues of underperformance and support the integration of new joiners.

Operational Effectiveness and Regulatory Adherence

  • Oversee HR procedures for a sizable employee group of 400-600, ensuring seamless operations with limited supervision.
  • Uphold superior standards in the execution of HR functions.
  • Address and settle employee concerns autonomously.
  • Comprehend and consistently apply employment legislation and regulatory requirements.

Initiatives:

  • Contribute to the automation of simple HR processes to increase departmental efficiency.
  • Participate in local events or Service Line/Sub-Service Line wide initiatives.
  • Create and maintain a collaboration platform for counsellors.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven experience in HR, preferably in a business partnering role.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and their impact on business outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience in managing HR processes and resolving employee grievances.

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
