The opportunity
Working in a collaborative team environment, the Transition Manager plays a critical role in leading and managing the seamless transition of services, processes, or operations for clients. The Transition Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex transitions, ensuring minimal disruption, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets. While the candidate in this role will primarily work with US stakeholders and hence work during US work hours, there may be some meetings/ activities which the candidate may have to participate in other time zones.
Your key responsibilities
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in transition management, project management, or service delivery within a large-scale, global environment.
- Develop and execute detailed transition plans, including risk assessments, resource allocation, communication strategies, and milestone tracking.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all transition activities are completed on schedule and in alignment with client requirements.
- Conduct due diligence to assess current state processes and identify areas for improvement during the transition phase.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and process documentation to ensure operational continuity.
- Monitor and report on transition progress, proactively identifying and resolving issues or bottlenecks.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, regulatory standards, and quality benchmarks during the transition process.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- 5+ years of professional experience in transition management, with a proven track record of successfully managing IT transitions and transformations.
- Comprehensive understanding of transition lifecycle methodologies, project planning, and execution across multiple domains and business functions.
- Expertise in identifying and mitigating risks during transitions, and the ability to develop robust transition strategies and contingency plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in coordinating between clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and operational handover.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly conveying complex transition plans and updates to diverse audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analytics for tracking transition progress, resource allocation, and reporting key metrics.
- Experience with transition management tools and platforms, preferably with hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Project plan or similar project management systems.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple transition projects, and adapt to dynamic environments while maintaining high quality standards.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Comprehensive understanding of managed services products and offerings
- Knowledge of various managed services delivery models (on-premise, cloud, hybrid)
- Experience in designing and executing transition plans and documentation
- Strong understanding of legal, compliance, and contractual requirements in managed services environments
- Ability to analyse service contracts, entitlements, and SLAs
- Advanced analytical skills for transition risk identification and mitigation
- Experience in service reconciliation and resource allocation during transitions
- Familiarity with different managed services metrics and KPIs
