The opportunity

This role provides strategic oversight of EY GDS’s offering and expertise for engagements across geographies. This role provides direction to transition teams to ensure GDS service offering is fit for purpose. This role provides transition subject matter expertise, project leadership, and direction to GDS & area teams to ensure our service is fit for purpose. The role supports the initiatives of the Transition and provides direction.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the project management for transitions or segments thereof from the point, the work is identified to the point it is handed over to the Operating team in the organisation
  • Project management - process transitions, prepare project plan (both detailed & high level), volume ramp plan, KT/ KC plan, communication plan, governance plan
  • Ability to foresee critical risks at Solution & Transition stage
  • Understanding of contractual documents
  • Effective Stake holder management both internal and at client side
  • Ability to lead governance and calibration meetings internal and client
  • Works to tight timelines, competing priorities and rapidly changing requirements
  • Resolve issues which arise as part of planning and executing transitions including, but not limited to, IT matters, training and skills transfer, cost of transition, local country change management issues, risk management, etc.
  • Have a contributory role in designing and updating transition methodology and supporting tools, including determining the appropriate program structure for each transition

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • He/she should have a global perspective in leading virtual teams and ability to work within a matrix management structure, and be prepared to travel as needed
  • Ability to handle multiple deliverables with quality and timelines
  • Ability to multi-task and handle pressure intensive deliverables
  • An ideal candidate must have managed and executed large multi country, complex Transitions
  • Candidate must possess excellent Client management, stakeholder management, program management skill, situation handling, advance presentation skill, handled Senior Management (CEO/ CTO/Program sponsor) connect
