Functional Architect-Business Analyst – Global Managed Services (manager level)

The opportunity

EY is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with business users to gather and document requirements, and effectively translating them into detailed technical specifications for our development team. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong background in business analysis within a technology-driven environment..

Your key responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather comprehensive business requirements.
• Document requirements in a clear and concise manner, ensuring they are complete, consistent, and understood by both business users and technical teams.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business users and stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.
• Manage the requirements lifecycle, including prioritization, change management, and traceability.
• Perform gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement or system enhancements.
• Oversee the creation of user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure that the project scope is clearly defined and managed.
• Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
• Contribute to the development of business analysis best practices and tools within the organization.

Skills and attributes for success

• Extensive experience in business analysis and requirement gathering from stakeholders
• Programme and project management experience, including management of global stakeholders, working with distributed teams
• Skilled in creating functional architecture, user stories, change management, process design, operating model design and implementations
• Experience in communication with client key stakeholders and EY stakeholders
• Strong business partnering skills enabling working across teams.
• Ability/credibility to influence key EY and client stakeholders - personal style, experience and approach
• Ability to work independently and deal effectively with ambiguity and change
• A get-it-done mindset

To qualify for the role, you should have

• 7+ years of experience in Manged Services/ consulting inclusive of expertise in working as a fuctional architect/ business analyst
• Demonstrable experience in delivering projects in Managed Services
• Experience in communicating with Client Key Stakeholders & get sign off Business case
• Certified Green Belt
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required - Business, Computer Science, Engineering or MBA/ Master’s degree
• Project Management Knowledge/Certification a plus
• Well versed with Tools & Technology – Knowledge/ experience in recent trends (like Robotics; Gen AI etc)
