Job Name : GDS Microsoft Cyber security Leader
Position Summary
The GDS Microsoft Security Leader is a strategic role within EY’s Technology Consulting – Cybersecurity function. This role is pivotal in driving the global growth of EY’s Cybersecurity footprint. Microsoft currently represents 30% of EY’s Cybersecurity, Privacy & Trusted Technology (CP&TT) consulting focus, accounting for 1.2M hours. With GDS Cybersecurity practice targeting a growth of 5M+ hours in FY27, this role will spearhead innovation, alliance integration, and market activation across regions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the global strategy and execution for Microsoft capability development and delivery across geos.
- Drive EY’s Cybersecurity market share expansion across sectors through strategic partnerships, solution innovation, and regional enablement. - Represent GDS in the Global Cybersecurity Committee for Microsoft, aligning innovation efforts and methodologies globally.
- Collaborate with high-growth EY Consulting services in Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, Zero Trust architecture, and Security Copilot–enabled SecOps transformation.
- Transform service delivery models by leveraging alliances with Microsoft, Qualys, and others.
- Activate market strategies tailored to regional nuances and client needs, ensuring GDS value positioning in strategic deals.
Essential Functions of the job
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to industrialize Microsoft solutions and expand EY’s Cybersecurity capabilities.
- Lead innovation in emerging technologies evolving gen AI remediation and Quantum Computing.
- Strengthen interlocks with PPEDs across service lines and geographies to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Own and drive GDS representation in global forums and analyst engagements.
- Enable account-centric sales approaches aligned with EY’s All-In strategy.- Guide pricing and delivery teams to optimize value creation and client impact.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategies with autonomy, subject to approval by the GDS Cybersecurity Leader.
- Monitor and adapt strategies based on regulatory, technological, and geopolitical shifts.
- Solve complex problems across domains including technology, operations, finance, ethics, and innovation.
- Evaluate solution options, implement decisions, and assess outcomes for continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 20+ years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity, Risk, or Technology Consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCISO, CISM, PMP, or Prince2®.
- Demonstrated leadership in global delivery, strategic alliances, and sectorfocused growth initiatives.
- At least 10 years of experience in a leadership role, managing crossfunctional teams (200+ team size) and leading large-scale projects or initiatives within a global organization.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a history of closing significant deals (e.g., multi-million-dollar contracts) and fostering long-term client relationships at” C” level of Fortune 500 companies. Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a matrixed organization and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering advisory services.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Deep expertise in Cybersecurity domains including CTMDR, Data Privacy, IAM, Security Architecture, and Managed Services.
- Strong understanding of delivery models for assessment, implementation, and managed services.
- Proven ability to drive alliance partnerships and develop market-ready solutions.
- Knowledge of EY’s organizational structure, regional dynamics, and go-tomarket frameworks.
- Familiarity with innovation frameworks and transformation strategies.
- Stakeholder management across global, regional, and sector levels.
