The opportunity

The GDS Microsoft Alliance Incentives Lead will function out of the GDS Alliances Delivery Center and will be responsible for enabling/supporting EY’s participation in Microsoft Partner Programs (Investment programs and it’s associated activities) . The role will be responsible for identifying and supporting new customer opportunities across Microsoft Partner Investment Programs and driving usage/adoption across multiple EY Service Lines, Functions, and Geographies by establishing globally consistent processes, tools and governance which not only enable growth, but also mitigate risk. The role also involves collaborating with Microsoft Account ASAs and manage financial risks associated with the programs.

 

Your key responsibilities

Job Summary:

The GDS Microsoft Alliance Incentives Lead will function out of the GDS Alliances Delivery Center and will be responsible for enabling/supporting EY’s participation in Microsoft Partner Programs (Investment programs and its associated activities). The role will be responsible for identifying and supporting new customer opportunities across Microsoft Partner Investment Programs and driving usage/adoption across multiple EY Service Lines, Functions, and Geographies by establishing globally consistent processes, tools and governance which not only enable growth, but also mitigate risk. The role also involves collaborating with Microsoft Account ASAs and manage financial risks associated with the programs.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Own EY’s Microsoft Commerce Incentive program which includes onboarding, enablement for various areas, regions, Service lines and customers.
  • Support customer eligibility checks, reviewing and submitting new MCI requests and manage end to end support of the MCI program working in concert with Investment team and Area ARDs/Area project coordinators.
  • Actively track and enhance KPIs and report on success metrics of the MCI program.
  • Submission of POE and invoicing for MCI and similar programs on behalf of teams
  • Support in creating/updating program guide, incentive guide and other program documentation as needed.
  • Support in internal and external program inquiries
  • Managing Mercury pipeline and sales management for alliance investment and subcontracting deals flowing through Microsoft accounts (ISD, ECIF, MCI)
  • Monitoring Microsoft systems (Partner Center/MCI etc) timelines to make sure teams are managing deadlines and in compliance with POE submission and invoicing requirements and prevent risk of non-payment by Microsoft.
  • Engagement code monitoring for ETCs and potential write offs; in collaboration with Microsoft account ASAs.
  • Support in partner program messaging to Microsoft partner representatives as necessary
  • Drive adoption and escalation support from various internal and external stakeholders, establish a close partnering relationship with functional teams and the alliance management to ensure alignment and facilitate efficient program execution.
  • Provide input into the design of the program enhancements as necessary.
  • ISD supplier compliance monitoring and supplier onboarding
  • ECIF and ISD rate set up and annual refresh processes working with global pricing, Global alliance investments team, ARDs and ERPs
  • Communicate with peers and management on partner plans, key developments, and learning, act as an internal champion.
  • Ability to lead and manage other resources with a certain level of emotional intelligence, in a professional capacity and drive innovation and adoption to change.


Skills and attributes for success

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of sales management, risk and compliance, operational processes, creating workflows and processes around various sales related activities.
  • Extensive experience working for a global system integrator (GSI) and/or Big Four firm managing complex partner programs, incentives, and investment programs from top tier software companies, track record of growing partner program participation and maximizing benefits. 
  • Proven ability to lead teams to operationalize complex partner program requirements, processes, reporting, compliance and portal management. 
  • Ability to leverage knowledge of programs to advise senior business leaders on how to maximize partner program benefits and minimize risks.
  • Ability to work and influence multiple stakeholders in matrixed structures of large global partners.
  • Strong skills to engage with senior leadership at partner organizations.
  • Ability to build strategy, value propositions, models and programs with partners.
  • Strong English speaking at negotiation level, strong influencing and communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, curious, high-energy individual, team motivator, uses a thought leadership approach.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies
  • Exposure to continuous process improvement and automation initiatives (and technologies), experience with process mapping, process documentation, internal audit preparation, facing audits, etc.
  • Should be excellent with MS Excel and PowerPoint, Power Bi skills would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with senior onshore stakeholders, excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills, should have the ability to develop trusted business advisor relationships with onshore stakeholders.
  • Should have experience with virtual working preferable across multiple geographies, including cultural sensitivity, with a global mindset.
  • Good at problem solving, should be capable of evaluation, root cause analysis and mitigation, good interpersonal skills, analytical thinking and research capabilities, comfortable interacting across multiple groups & working with various other teams towards the appropriate solution or resolution.
  • Good project management skills – project budgets, execution and tracking, reviews, strong time management skills including prioritizing, organizing and tracking details and meeting a series of aggressive deadlines of multiple projects or assignments with varying completion dates.
  • Knowledge of EY & GDS operations, including org structure, operating model, management information systems, independence concepts, etc. (for internal candidates), Big 4 consultancy exposure with experience in leadership support/strategic environment (for external candidates)


To qualify for the role, you must have-

  • MBA or equivalent
  • University Graduation
  • 12+  Years of work experience
