The global Operational Technology (OT) Security market is experiencing  accelerated growth driven by geopolitical risk, regulatory pressure, and  rapid industrial digital transformation, The OT security market is projected  to reach USD 51B by 2030 with a CAGR of 17%, Approximately 40%  represents addressable professional services demand,

EY GDS Cybersecurity is seeing sustained demand across Americas,  EMEIA and APAC for OT-focused services in energy, manufacturing,  utilities, oil & gas, transportation and critical infrastructure, with anticipated growth of 35% over FY27-FY30,

To capitalize on this opportunity, a dedicated OT Security Executive  Director role is required with exclusive accountability for OT capability  strategy, delivery scale, go-to-market enablement, and sector-aligned  solutions, This scope requires a different type of expertise and experience and cannot be delivered as part of a single IT+OT security strategy,

Essential Functions of the job

Key Responsibilities

• Build and scale a standalone OT Security capability within GDS  Cybersecurity,
• Generate 200K delivery hours translating to USD 7,6M in revenue, a  growth of 50% for this space in FY27,
• Grow OT headcount from 45 (25 core + 20 extended) to 100 across  GDS delivery locations,
• Build OT competencies across adjacent Cyber teams including Cyber
• Risk, Cyber Transformation, Digital Identity and Cyber Managed Services,
• Develop sector-specific OT solutions for Energy & Utilities, Advanced  Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Mobility and Life Sciences,
• Act as OT security anchor for large strategic accounts and complex OT pursuits,
• Lead OT thought leadership, analyst briefings and EY global market  positioning,
• Drive delivery excellence, margin improvement and OT-specific KPIs tied to safety and operational resilience,

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

• Own delivery quality, commercial performance, and operational excellence across OT security engagements,
• Attract, develop, and retain OT security talent across multiple  geographies,
• Build and lead high-performing, multidisciplinary OT teams with strong safety, reliability, and resilience mindset,

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• 18+ years of professional experience with at least:
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity
  • 5+ years in leadership roles focused on OT / industrial security
• Professional certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, or  equivalent (preferred)
• Deep hands-on OT Security expertise, including ICS and industrial  environments
• Strong experience with:
  • ICS / SCADA / DCS / PLC environments
  • Industrial protocols (e,g,, Modbus, DNP3, OPC, PROFINET,  EtherNet/IP)
  • OT/IT convergence and segmentation architectures
• Proven delivery leadership across OT security programs such as:
  • OT risk and maturity assessments
  • Secure industrial architecture design
  • OT monitoring, detection, and incident response
• Strong working knowledge of OT standards and frameworks,  including:
  • IEC 62443
  • NIST SP 800-82
  • ISO 27001 / ISO 27019 (as applicable to OT)
• Significant consulting experience advising industrial clients on OT  cybersecurity
• Experience leading senior teams and large-scale OT engagements globally

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage with impact with CxOs, boards, regulators, and operational leaders,
• Ability to operate across engineering, cybersecurity, and business  consulting disciplines
• Strategic, outcome-oriented mindset with strong execution rigor,
• Deep understanding of how cyber risk translates into safety,  production, availability, environmental, and regulatory impact in OT,
• Proven ability to build scalable teams and capabilities in a global  delivery model,
