EY Consulting _BCM_Techno-Functional_Testing_Senior

The opportunity

As a Business Tester, you will be accountable & responsible to Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on the project requirements. Execute functional and regression test cases. Report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process. Involve in review meetings and walk through meetings. Candidate should have knowledge on Banking/Finance domains. Also the candidate should be able to understand ITSM principles and proficient in testing the ITSM process and data flow.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Candidate should be proficient in using ITSM software and tools such as ServiceNow, to manage  and optimize IT services and support.
  • Understand ITSM process and lifecycle on resolving IT incidents and problems efficiently, often using tools like ticketing systems 
  • Knowledge of configuration management databases (CMDB) and their role in tracking and managing IT assets, infrastructure, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet) for streamlining and automating routine tasks and processes.
  • Proficient in using monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Dynatrace, Zabbix,  Prometheus) to proactively identify and address issues in IT infrastructure and services.
  • The ability to define, monitor, and report on SLAs to ensure that  services meet agreed-upon  performance and availability standards.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) and  containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for efficient resource utilization.
  • Familiar with DevOps principles and tools to improve collaboration between development  and operations teams and streamline software development and deployment.
  • Implementing knowledge bases and systems to capture, organize, and share technical  information for efficient issue resolution and training.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices for service  management.
  • Hands on experience on test management tools like JIRA, ADO, ALM.

 

Technical/Functional Skills:

 

  • Candidate should be proficient in using ITSM software and tools such as ServiceNow, to manage  and optimize IT services and support.
  • Able to diagnose and resolve IT incidents and problems efficiently, often using tools like ticketing systems and diagnostic software.
  • Understanding of the processes and tools used for planning, implementing, and controlling  changes in IT services to minimize disruptions and maximize benefits.
  • Knowledge of configuration management databases (CMDB) and their role in tracking and managing IT assets, infrastructure, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the able to manage  services in a cloud environment.
  • Understanding of IT security principles, including data protection, access control,  vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet) for streamlining and automating routine tasks and processes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
  • 5 -8 years of UAT/Business testing experience in Banking core solutions with hands on API and functional testing

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly
  • Good experience in API automation, Functional Automation, SQL queries and knowledge on DevOps process
  • Should be ready to do an individual contributor as well as Team Leader role is what we look for
  • Created QA Strategy and test approach from scratch, Articulates value, ROI to clients. Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts and Tool selection should have played the role of an individual contributor, interfacing with the clients and address their business needs
