Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW Manager Solution Architect with a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience. This role requires deep expertise in designing, developing, and implementing SAP BW solutions running on SAP HANA. The ideal candidate will work independently, lead technical initiatives, and deliver high-quality BI and data warehousing solutions in a global, cross-functional environment.

The role demands strong capabilities in solution architecture, development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting, as well as the ability to lead junior team members. The candidate must demonstrate strong experience in SAP BW, enterprise data warehouse design, extraction, reporting, and business planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and analytical reports.
• Architect, implement, and support SAP BW on HANA applications, including integration with enterprise business planning processes such as SAP APO.
• Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards, consolidating and aggregating data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Ensure optimal balance between functionality, performance, and user experience, with a strong emphasis on usability and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting and analytics requirements.
• Leverage underlying data warehouses and data sources to deliver scalable and efficient solutions aligned with business needs.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with LO Cockpit, Flat File, and Generic Extractions, including utilization of SAP-delivered and custom information structures within the Logistics Information System (LIS).
• Strong hands-on experience in data modeling, including:
  • Custom InfoObjects and InfoObject maintenance
  • Data Sources, Info Sources, DTPs, Info Packages, and PSA
  • Advanced DSOs, Standard DSOs, Info Cubes, Data Marts
  • Info Providers, Multi Providers, Aggregates, and APDs
  • Advanced proficiency in ABAP, including development and debugging of:
  • Start routines, end routines, and expert routines
  • CMOD enhancements and query-level enhancements
  • Custom Data Source logic using function modules and Z-extractors in ECC/S4 environments
• Work closely with SAP Functional teams to design solutions for enhancements, gap analysis, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
• SAP HANA & Advanced Analytics
  • Expertise in creating and enhancing HANA Calculation Views sourcing data from multiple objects.
  • Strong experience implementing complex logic such as currency conversion, YTD, MTD, QTD, and other advanced calculations.
  • Enable data consumption by external analytics platforms such as Power BI.
  • Ability to design, enhance, and optimize HANA CDS views, utilizing multiple annotations to support analytical and reporting use cases.

Additional Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical solutions, proposing innovative and efficient approaches where appropriate.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement, scalability, and delivery of BI services while ensuring data security and governance standards are maintained.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and demonstrate strong attention to detail for future knowledge transfer and system continuity.
• Collaborate with global teams and multiple sites to ensure standardized, reusable, and best-practice solutions across the organization.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required to support project and organizational goals.
