EY – GDS – Technology Consulting – Finance
As part of our EY - Finance Consulting Team, you will help clients develop their Performance Improvement initiatives and identify potential opportunities for performance improvements drive them. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments, deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions. The client base spans across industries and countries.
The opportunity
- We’re looking for Manager with expertise in record to report area. Also, experience in FP&A, consolidation, ERP Implementation, Financial Accounting and Reporting domain is an added advantage to join the global EY - Finance Consulting team. - Partners with the team to deliver amazing work during the engagement while balancing overall project health
- Actively reviews and explore opportunities to improve, optimize and enhance ways of working
- Provides status communications to project and business teams
- Practice development (support and participate in activities such as internal training & development, recruitment, etc.)
- Own and develop our offerings and assets
- Demonstrated ability to present ideas clearly and concisely; ability to prepare presentations for senior-level client stakeholders
- Undertaking sales origination, including working with client teams to identify opportunities
- Leverage and improve various frameworks, methodologies, solutions specific to our offerings
Your key responsibilities include but not limited to
- Provide oversight for and management of the development and implementation of sustainable, repeatable, reliable and cost-effective financial processes to meet emerging and future business requirements of the client
- Lead proposals related to our offerings and take them successfully to clients
- Leading projects that ensure high quality advisory and consulting services to major clients, preferably with a practical approach as learned during working in the business
- Creating / contributing to the creation of new services, tools and materials to be more successful on the market
- Achievement of ambitious targets for growth, utilization, and operational excellence and consistent implementation of EY policies and tools to enable these priorities while supporting the engagement of our people
- Involvement in people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training professionals and act as a role model
- Active participation in the creation and maintenance of an environment that enables the team to manage delivery effectively and achieve the highest quality
- Maintain relationships with the client’s management in order to manage the expectations of service
- Experience with finance functions – Record to report processes involving account reconciliations, Journals, Transaction matching, Variance analysis, intercompany etc.
- Conduct workshops with clients to perform current state As-Is process assessment and design & optimize Future state processes as per leading practices & industry benchmarks
- Identify process improvement opportunities using automation, technology upgradation & process standardization.
- Experience in creating L1-L5 “As-Is” and “To-Be” process mapping using tools such as ARIS, IBM Blueworks and Visio
- Knowledge on Financial Consolidation and Close, Cost Allocation and Finance Planning and Budgeting Processes
- Good Knowledge on ledger and sub-ledger systems; technical know-how of SAP ERP/HANA, Oracle GL (good to have)
- Strong accounting skills and understands financial reports and statements
- Good experience in Chart of accounts design
- Should have knowledge of activities in financial close of an organisation for month/Quarter/Annual close
- Managing/ supervising teams of people on project work
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
- Open to travel (Domestic & International)

- BlackLine Certification is a good to have
- Confident & professional communication style
- Proficiency in English (oral and written)
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

- Capability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
- Strong analytical skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills for interpreting the IFRS standards
To qualify for the role, you must have
- CA, CFA, CPA, MBA OR Master’s in business administration in Finance
- Have experience in either the FS sectors (like Banking, Insurance, Capital Markets, Wealth and Asset Management) or Non-FS sectors
- 10+ years of work experience in experience in process assessment assignments/consulting work
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Exposure to tools like ERP, HFM, BlackLine, Oracle ARCS, Trintech, Workday financials,etc.
- Finance Transformation, knowledge on financial consolidation and close
