The opportunity

 

IFRS 17 Specialist (Non-Life, 4-6 Years)

 

 

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a professional with 4-6 years of experience in IFRS 17 (Non-Life) to support audit and consulting engagements globally. The role involves applying IFRS 17 standards in client assignments, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality insights in a fast-paced consulting environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support audit and advisory projects on IFRS 17 implementation and reporting for non-life insurers.
  • Review and validate IFRS 17 calculations (LIC, LFRC, AIC And AFRC balances under IFSR17).
  • Provide technical guidance on IFRS 17 methodologies, disclosures, and controls, including review of insurance contracts and technical accounting papers under both the Premium Allocation Approach (PAA) and the General Measurement Model (GMM).
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and development of best practices within the team.

 

 

Skills & Qualifications

 

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 standards (non-life focus).
  • Exposure to actuarial/finance reporting under IFRS 17.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Progress towards an actuarial qualification is desirable

 

 

  • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
