Job purpose
Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office (FSO) is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. FSO practice provides integrated advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers (traditional and alternative), insurance and energy trading companies, and the Corporate Treasury functions of leading Fortune 500 Companies. The service offerings provided by the FSO Advisory include: market, credit and operational risk management, regulatory advisory, quantitative advisory, structured finance transaction, actuarial advisory, technology enablement, risk and security, program advisory, and process & controls.
Within Ernst & Young's FSO Advisory Practice, the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group provide solutions that can help FSO clients to identify, measure, manage and monitor the market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks associated with their trading, asset-liability management, capital management and other capital markets activities.
FSRM employs individuals with financial services risk management, trading, regulatory, quantitative, technology, operations and accounting backgrounds. The breadth of the experiences of the FSRM professionals enables the practice to coordinate the delivery of a broad array of risk management services to capital market participants throughout the world in a well integrated manner.
Your client responsibilities
- Work as a part of Regulatory Reporting implementation team.
- Understanding data architecture and key data elements of client risk and regulatory reporting systems
- Perform quantitative and qualitative quality checks on data
- Perform data mapping and data lineage activities
- Effectively interact with the onshore/offshore team members.
- Ensure all deliverables conform to the highest quality standards and are executed in a timely manner.
- Work independently with minimum supervision.
- The role is deadline oriented and may require working under US time schedule
- Identify areas of improvement /automation and bring in a change to streamline the work environment.
Technical skills requirements
To qualify, candidates must have:
- Strong Technical skills experience such as Advanced VBA, MS Access, PL/SQL, SQL, Relational DBMS, Oracle / MS SQL Server
- Functional expertise with Financial Instruments and Regulatory knowledge
- Experience in System Analysis, Business Analysis and Technical Architecture Analysis and Design
- Good project management skills
- Testing skills and experience - SIT, UAT, Functional
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Visio (preferable))
- dditional preferable skills (not required for all individuals): Planning/budgeting/forecasting experience
- Experience in Vendor Tools: SAS, AxiomSL , Vermeg, WKFS and so on
Qualifications, Certifications and Education
Must-have:
- Master’s degree in business administration (finance) with at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in Regulatory Reporting
- Prior experience in using RDMS systems and SQL Scripting
- Strong problem solving and solution development skills
- Strong communication skills
