Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support. Within EY FAAS practice, the Finance Transformation Experts team build and develop client relationship with our regional stakeholders. We are part of an integrated global network of professionals who develop, design and optimise client service business processes for efficiency and high performance. We leverage and improve various frameworks, methodologies, solutions specific to our offerings and articulate presentations that communicate proposals, strategies, plans and outcomes.

Job Responsibilities         

Technical, Delivery & Subject Matter Areas      

    • The primary focus of the role is using deep techno functional knowledge to drive transformation in any or all record to report areas which may not necessarily involve any technology implementation. The role is not focused on hands on technology implementation rather driving transformation in record to report areas holistically as a transformation lead (not PMO).
    • Deep end to end techno functional knowledge on record to report data structure & how record to report process flows end to end in leading ERP solutions like SAP FI,CO, COPA, Closing Cockpit, SAP BPC, SAP Group Reporting, SAP FI/CO integration with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP PP, Oracle Fusion Financial etc) transforming record to report process areas of i) Revenue Recognition ii) Accurals iii) Intercompany reconciliation iv) Manual Journal Entries & their automation v) Asset Accounting vi) Chart of Accounts & Accounting Master Data vii) Account reconciliation in the areas of cash & bank, sales, etc viii) Sub ledger accounting ix) Consolidation process x) Production & filing of financial statements xi) Notes & disclosures to accounts. Xii) Cost Accounting & Inventory xiii) Profitability Analysis
    • Provide Subject matter expertise & lead delivery teams in Record to report transformation/Implementation in process areas mentioned above.
    • Deep techno-functional knowledge of ERP platform  integration with AI based technologies. Hands on experience of designing AI solution for record to report areas based on SAP platform.
    • Intensive knowledge of consolidation process and how consolidation data structure is set up & how consolidation process runs in leading consolidation tool like SAP Group Reporting, SAP BPC, Oracle FCCS etc & how operational chart of accounts are mapped to Group Chart of Accounts in BPC or FS Items in SAP Group Reporting
    • Lead delivery teams or workstream in large projects for a one or more solution areas.
    • Solid knowledge of AI solutions availability & applicability in record to report area. Knowledge & experience of AI solutions development in record to report area is preferred.

 

Business Development & Solution Development Areas          

    • Lead pursuit teams to understand client problem statements & formulate that in solutions
    • Lead developing client specific solutions for the engagement team
    • Lead  proposal building or lead proposal teams
    • Lead collaboration with market teams to develop relationship to secure more business for EY
    • Collaborate cross service lines to ensure smooth execution of the project.
    • Lead development of internal capability development and lead training sessions to coach internal teams to develop capability
    • Lead operational initiatives within the practice areas.

People Management Areas        

    • Directly manage team of 5-8 FTEs in one or more solution areas.
    • Develop people through coaching, motivation & guided training
    • Develop career path & have career conversations with FTEs to keep them engaged.

 

Skills 

Subject Matter & Technical Skills & Knowledge             

    • Deep knowledge in Record to report, invoice to pay and Order to cash areas
    • Certification and/or sound experience based knowledge in ERPs like SAP S/4 HANA FI/CO/COPA, SAP Central Finance, Oracle Fusion Finance, Oracle Netsuite
    • Certification and/or sound experience based knowledge in digital finance solutions like Blackline, Trintech, High Radius, Different RPA solutions
    • Knowledge about AI/ML/Gen-AI & Analytics solution in finance space particularly in Record to Report areas.
    • Knowledge of consolidation, reporting, inter-company and ERP data structures
    • Have experience in current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management.

Experience Requirement & Profile         

    • 4-7 Years of relevant consulting experience in record to report transformation (not Industry user experience)
    • Experience of working with international clients preferred
    • Experience with previous multinational consulting firms or Big4 firms

 

  • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
