We help our clients in identifying and managing the interplay between upside and downside risk in order to make the long-term decisions to prevent risk and impact on their organization's ability to meet its future business strategy and objectives. The 3 key fields of play are :

Enterprise Risk - helps clients identify and address key risk areas, while building the agility to respond quickly. The areas of focus include Enterprise risk and resilience, Internal audit, Compliance and Internal controls

Technology Risk - helps clients to achieve sustainable growth by supporting their efforts to protect their business performance and by providing trusted communications on internal control and regulatory compliance to investors, management, regulators, customers and other stakeholders. EY teams accomplish this by assessing the technology risks that are introduced to businesses.

Financial Services Risk - helps clients in the financial sector to identify, manage and monitor the risks in their business. It is done through a transformative and agile approach including process and procedures, risk, data modeling and analytics, reporting to stakeholders and third parties, business requirements (for software selection and IT implementation), analysis of assets and liabilities, and capital and liquidity management.

Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

• Function: Consulting Quality Role Summary The Consultant – Compliance and Risk Management will be part of the Consulting SL Quality team and will support various compliance and risk management programs across EY’s sector-specific consulting engagements. The role involves working closely with engagement teams and leadership to ensure adherence to firm policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Operations Support Review and Monitoring Review engagement set-ups within the India Consulting practice to evaluate compliance with firm policies, standards, and guidance. Track and maintain the consolidated compliance status for assigned Partners and Strategic Management Units (SMUs). Read and interpret engagement contracts and related documentation to support compliance assessments. Conduct monthly connect calls with assigned Engagement Partners (EPs) to discuss quality metrics and track progress against Quality KPIs. Consultation and Specific Support Assist client-serving professionals with timely consultations on engagement set-up and compliance-related matters. Manage and respond to engagement set-up queries received from stakeholders. Identify and escalate compliance risks or issues for further review and remediation, as required. Other Quality & Risk Support Activities Prepare and maintain consolidated reports and dashboards for quality and compliance activities. Provide support on ad-hoc assignments related to quality, compliance, and risk management. Ensure timely escalation of issues to meet defined timelines and highlight critical concerns proactively. Professional Attributes and Skills Demonstrates a consulting mindset with the ability to assess risks and apply firm policies effectively. Strong logical reasoning and conceptual clarity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders. Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities. Effective work planning, prioritization, and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications and Experience Prior experience in compliance, risk management, quality assurance, or related functions is an added advantage. Experience in reviewing contracts or engagement documentation is preferred. Exposure to consulting or professional services environments will be beneficial.
