Associate/ Assistant Manager – Infrastructure Advisory
As part of EY's Infrastructure Advisory (IA) team within Strategy and Transactions (SaT), we support both public and private sector clients across a wide range of infrastructure initiatives. The IA team delivers advisory services throughout the infrastructure value chain, partnering with EY's onshore Infrastructure Advisory practices across ASEAN, Japan, Oceania, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI), Western Europe and Maghreb (WEM), and China.
Our multidisciplinary team brings expertise across several core service areas, including financial modeling and feasibility studies, data analytics and business intelligence (Power BI, Python, and Power Query), Transaction Advisory Services, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) research, business case development and cost-benefit analysis, as well as market and industry research.
The opportunity
We are seeking Associates and Assistant Managers with expertise in Financial Modelling and Analytics to join EY's Infrastructure Advisory (IA) team, with a focus on the Power, Oil, and Gas sectors. Our team helps clients create long-term social and economic value by enabling informed decision-making around capital investments, transactions, and strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will support clients in developing, reviewing, and enhancing complex financial models for infrastructure projects, transaction support, and corporate strategy engagements. Leveraging both traditional modelling techniques and advanced technologies such as Power BI, Power Query, VBA, Agentic AI and Python, you will help deliver data-driven insights that address client needs and support critical business decisions.

Your key responsibilities
- Lead and support engagement teams in delivering Financial Modelling, Analytics, and Strategic Advisory services, enabling clients to make informed decisions related to investments, transactions, financing, operations, and long-term growth strategies.
- Develop, review, and enhance complex financial models, with a particular focus on the Power, Oil & Gas, transportation, and broader infrastructure sectors.
- Advise clients on transaction support engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, project financing, debt and corporate restructuring, valuations, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Support the development and assessment of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements, project structuring, commercial evaluations, and procurement strategies.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies, business case development, economic impact assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project viability and support investment decisions.
- Apply advanced data analytics, automation, and visualization tools, including Power BI, Power Query, Python, VBA, and Excel, to transform complex data into actionable insights and decision-support frameworks.
- Perform independent reviews and validation of financial models, identify key risks and assumptions, conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses, and present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Drive research and development initiatives, including market intelligence, industry benchmarking, policy and regulatory analysis, emerging technology assessments, and the development of innovative analytical tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge development through research publications, sector insights, white papers, and the creation of reusable frameworks that enhance EY's Infrastructure Advisory capabilities globally.
- Collaborate with EY's global Infrastructure Advisory teams to deliver high-quality services across project finance, infrastructure transactions, corporate finance, sustainability, and strategic advisory assignments.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong academic background preferably with a professional qualification in finance/ MBA/ accounting/ CFA/ FRM and solid understanding of corporate finance
- Experience in one or more infrastructure sectors - power & utilities, Oil and Gas including renewables, transport, and social infrastructure, etc.
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to understand financial statements and build three statement financial models in Excel. Exposure to VBA will be preferred.
- Experience with building dynamic dashboards or automated corporate strategy solutions using Databricks, Python, or Agentic AI
- Knowledge of PPP/ PFI modelling is preferred
- Exceptional economic and financial modelling skills with a demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative study
- Knowledge of Alteryx and Visualization tools (preferred)
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and presentation/ report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers
- Exhibit thoughtfulness and problem-solving skills
- Good project and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to coach and mentor team members on writing, technical skills and soft skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
Postgraduate in the areas of environment, sustainability, energy or related field Management/ MBA/ CFA/ FRM from a reputed college/ University. Professional qualification in Finance / Power / Infrastructure Management will be preferred.
Relevant experience of 7-8 years for Associate Manager and 6-7 years for Assistant Manager
