About EY-Parthenon Quality Team

EY-Parthenon Quality supports the business in maintaining quality, consistency and accountability across engagements. The Engagement Quality Review Testing Process is designed to review completed engagements to identify compliance with internal policies and processes such as client engagement acceptance procedures, conflicts of interest, Independence, third-party risk management, reporting to name a few. The aim is to support consistent quality outcomes across all our engagements. Within Europe Central, the professional will help coordinate and execute engagement testing activities with a strong focus on engagement documentation, internal and external policies, direct interaction with Partners and their teams.

 

The opportunity

We are seeking an Assistant Manager 1 to join the EY-Parthenon Quality team supporting the Europe Central region. This role is ideal for a professional with strong risk management and policy interpretation skills, coupled with a practical understanding of EY-Parthenon service offerings such as Strategy, Due Diligence, Valuation, Business Modelling, Operational Turnaround, and Restructuring.

The successful candidate will support engagement quality reviews by evaluating compliance with firm policies and risk management requirements, assessing engagement evidence, identifying quality risks, and delivering clear, evidence-based findings that contribute to the continuous enhancement of the Quality Review Process (QRP).

Key responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of Quality Reviews for EY-Parthenon engagements across Europe Central.
  • Assess engagement documentation against QRP requirements, firm policies, and applicable risk management standards.
  • Evaluate compliance with engagement acceptance, conflicts management, independence, contracting, approvals, and documentation requirements.
  • Review Engagement Agreements (EAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and client deliverables to assess alignment with agreed scope and expected outcomes.
  • Identify documentation gaps, quality concerns, risk indicators, and matters requiring escalation.
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based findings, review summaries, and leadership updates.
  • Engage with engagement teams, reviewers, and senior stakeholders to obtain clarifications and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain complete audit trails, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including refinement of methodologies, templates, guidance, and review practices.

Candidate profile

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience in risk management, quality, compliance, internal audit, controls, engagement management, or related areas.
  • Experience in a Big 4 or similar professional services environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of engagement acceptance, contracting, independence, documentation controls, and quality review processes.
  • Experience working with cross-border teams and senior stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive-ready reports.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with reporting and workflow management tools is advantageous.
