GDS EY-P – Strategy And Execution (S And E) - Deal Management – Manager - Healthcare – India
EY-P S&E Deal Management team services clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100day planning, integration process support, carve-out/stand-alone costs assessment and risks, and cost reduction.
Our professionals work on transactions and business development across the globe.
The opportunity
We’re looking for Managers with 8 to 10 years of experience in M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A, with a deep understanding of the Healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices. As a Healthcare Manager in Deal Management, Transaction Strategy & Advisory, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing high-impact projects within the Healthcare sector.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with onshore teams to define project scope, establish work plans, and align requirements to ensure timely delivery and achievement of project objectives.
- Lead day-to-day management and execution of separation and integration engagements, including key workstreams such as Day 1 readiness, operating model design, TSA planning and exit, synergy capture, standalone costing, and project governance.
- Manage project engagement teams supporting transaction strategy and execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with client expectations.
- Oversee and guide junior team members, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and support career development through coaching and mentorship.
- Take ownership of team performance, providing structured mentorship and guidance to ensure delivery excellence
- Co-lead business development efforts, identify opportunities for engagement expansion, support proposal development, and contribute to business growth by preparing client-ready presentations and assisting in pursuits.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and resolving project challenges and streamlining integration/separation processes.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on Healthcare industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive positioning to inform transaction strategy.
- Collaborate with global EY teams and demonstrate understanding of regional practices to deliver seamless cross-border transaction support.
- Ensure high client satisfaction through effective engagement management and proactive communication with stakeholders.
Skills and attributes for success
- Good understanding of M&A life cycle, integration & separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A
- Strong domain knowledge across the Healthcare
- Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong executive presence with good networking and negotiation skills
- People Management, Team handling and set up governance around project planning activities
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of analytical tools such as PowerBI, Smartsheets, Power Query, Alteryx, Macros would be preferred
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Post Graduate degree in business, engineering, life sciences, pharmacy or related field or related field from a premier institute with 8-10 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience.
- Understanding of M&A life cycle, integration and separation of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A
- Well versed with MS Excel, PowerPoint and understanding of GenAI capabilities
- Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement
