Job Name - GDS Digital Risk Partner

Position Summary            

Describe the functional responsibilities of the position addressing the  accountability of the position for overseeing activities of a major function on a Global, Area or business unit and why this role is needed n

The critical element of the Partner position within Digital Risk team is to lead  and manage the exponential growth and rebuild of the practice: 

  • Designing and executing the blueprint for hyper growth of the GDS Digital Risk Team – to achieve 900+ FTE target by FY '27. Current  headcount is ~5500
  • As most Areas rebuild Digital Risk practice with a ‘GDS First’  approach, its critical to hire a Partner with strong Digital Risk skills to  work with multiple senior stakeholders across the globe to build the GDS  Digital Risk brand and grow the practice not only in terms of headcount, but  also with required skills and capabilities . This will encompass building new  services, solutions, GTM strategy, capacity and delivery capabilities.
  • There is a need to develop strategies, plan, and sell Channel 2 Consulting projects (IT SOX, ITRM, IT Transformation etc.) and solutions  related to technology risk and emerging technologies for which a Partner  level candidate is needed considering the planned size and scale of the  practice.
  • There is a need to develop & enhance existing capabilities at GDS to  support market development and service delivery for security in  technologies such as Cloud, RPA, AI, Blockchain, Cloud ERPs (SAP &  Oracle). This would involve recruiting / training of relevant talent, regional  integration and market maker positioning, as well as development of both  traditional and pay-per-use services for delivery across regions. For this its  critical to hire a Partner to lead this practice in GDS.

Other elements that the Partner is expected to influence include the  following;

  • Identifying new set of services that can be incubated, built and taken to the market along with the regional 
  • Lead pursuits, proposals and represent EY in client services orals
  • Work with client-facing teams and management to prepare estimates, Point of Views, Position Papers and contribute towards pursuits, proposals, and Statement of Work
  • Help recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and  oversee their development 

 

Essential Functions of the job   

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Working closely with multiple senior stakeholders across the globe to build the GDS Digital Risk brand and grow the practice. This will encompass building new services, solutions, GTM strategy, capacity and delivery capabilities.
  • Develop strategies, plan, and sell Consulting projects (IT SOX, ITRM, IT Transformation etc.) and solutions related to technology risk and  emerging technologies.
  • Participate in go to market, create proposals and respond to RFPs, client orals etc. Identify opportunities for cross-selling to current  clients/introduce colleagues from other service lines.
  • Understand clients’ challenges and industry related issues and offer  solutions in the areas of IT Risk. Identify buyers, influencers & stakeholders  in existing client engagements and build strong relationships.
  • Own and anchor multiple accounts and grow the GDS penetration to large numbers for GDS Consulting.
  • Work with client facing teams and management to prepare estimates, Point of Views, Position Papers and contribute towards pursuits and  proposals.
  • Drive Business solution-based assets for technology risk, cybersecurity and privacy regulations in collaboration with the regional  leadership.
  • Travel to EY and Client locations to build client and stakeholder  relationship.
  • Help recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and  oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example.
  • Grow talent base across all locations of GDS consulting.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for entire practice.
  • Foster teamwork, quality culture and lead by example

 

Technical responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating strong consulting experience, in-depth knowledge in  technology risk, cybersecurity and privacy areas of the business, ability to  sell and run large scale consulting engagements with a distributed delivery  mindset.
  • Strong domain knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: AI, Cloud, Cyber frameworks & data privacy, Resilience, Risk and controls related to Technology transformation.
  • Leading multiple global engagements related to IT Risk and Controls, IT Risk Management, IT Transformations etc. with large diverse teams  spread across the globe.
  • Develop & enhance existing capabilities at GDS to support market  development and service delivery for security in technologies such as  Cloud, RPA, AI, Blockchain, Cloud ERPs (SAP & Oracle). This would  involve recruiting / training of relevant talent, regional integration and  market maker positioning, as well as development of both traditional and  pay-per-use services for delivery across regions.

Education & Experience 

  • MBA/B.E./BTech (Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications,  Computer Science, Information Systems Management)/ CA with core  experience in IT Risk domain or a related field with minimum 22 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good written and presentational skills and working with senior  stakeholders.
  • Experience in management consulting and IT advisory consulting organizations is a huge plus.
  • Experience in managing team and solution designing.
  • Information Security, Cyber, or Cloud related certifications
  • Experience in Big4 is a plus.
  • Project Management
