EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – OpenAI Alliance Executive Director

Summary

The GDS OpenAI Alliance Executive Director will lead the growth, industrialization, and execution of the EY–OpenAI Alliance across global markets. The role is accountable for driving alliance strategy, solution innovation, capability development, market activation, and delivery enablement while establishing GDS as the preferred global delivery engine for OpenAI-powered client transformations. The Executive Director will work closely with OpenAI leadership, EY member firms, sector teams, EY.ai leadership, WinLabs, and alliance ecosystem partners to accelerate enterprise AI adoption and create scalable AI-native transformation offerings for clients.

Essential Functions of the job Alliance Leadership• Own and execute the GDS OpenAI alliance strategy.

• Develop joint go-to-market plans with OpenAI and EY leadership teams.
• Drive alliance growth through strategic pursuits and market activation programs.
• Build executive relationships across OpenAI and the broader AI ecosystem. Market & Client Leadership
• Support strategic enterprise pursuits involving OpenAI-powered transformation programs.
• Facilitate executive AI workshops and innovation sessions with clients.
• Develop industry-specific points of view and solution narratives.
• Establish EY as a leading transformation partner in the OpenAI ecosystem. Innovation & Solution Development
• Lead creation of reusable OpenAI accelerators, AI agents, solution frameworks, and industry assets.
• Industrialize AI innovation through WinLabs and global Centers of Excellence. Z
• Drive development of EY.ai value blueprints leveraging OpenAI technologies.
• Establish reference architectures and solution patterns for scalable AI adoption. Delivery & Capability Leadership
• Build and scale OpenAI engineering, architecture, and delivery capabilities within GDS.
• Support delivery excellence across OpenAI-powered client engagements.
• Drive AI capability enablement, certification programs, and talent development initiatives.
• Establish delivery governance, quality frameworks, and implementation methodologies. Ecosystem & Strategic Partnerships
• Develop strategic collaborations across OpenAI, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Databricks, Snowflake, Dell, and other alliance partners.
• Drive co-innovation and ecosystem-led solution development.
• Enable multi-alliance solutions that create differentiated client value.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

• Define strategic priorities for OpenAI Alliance investments and growth.
• Evaluate alliance opportunities and determine investment decisions.
• Prioritize solution development, capability expansion, and market activation efforts.
• Drive business planning and execution against alliance growth goals.
• Influence executive decisions related to AI transformation strategy.
• Allocate leadership attention and resources across innovation, capability building, and delivery initiatives.
• Balance commercial outcomes with long-term alliance growth objectives.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent preferred.
• 18+ years of consulting, technology, AI transformation, alliance leadership, or digital innovation experience.
• Proven track record leading strategic alliance ecosystems and business growth programs. • Significant experience driving enterprise-scale technology transformations.
• Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, enterprise platforms, cloud, and data ecosystems.
• Experience managing global teams and complex cross-functional organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at executive and C-suite levels.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• Deep understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.
• Strong knowledge of AI transformation strategies and enterprise AI adoption.
• Experience with OpenAI technologies, AI platforms, and ecosystem alliances.
• Strong alliance management and business development expertise.
• Executive stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
• Enterprise architecture and solution development experience.
• Commercial acumen and growth-oriented leadership.
• Ability to lead complex transformation initiatives at global scale
