We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms and architecture solutions. This role will focus on building cloud-native data ecosystems, driving data platform modernization, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities.

You will play a key role in defining architecture standards, guiding teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business objectives

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Leadership

• Design and implement enterprise-grade data architecture using Azure services
• Lead architecture for scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data platforms
• Define best practices, standards, and governance frameworks
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into solutions

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

• Architect and build production-grade data pipelines (ADF, Databricks)
• Design batch and real-time data processing frameworks
• Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration
• Implement data quality validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting mechanisms

Data Platform & Modelling

• Design and manage data storage using:
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Azure SQL / Synapse
• Develop data models (star/snowflake schemas) optimized for analytics
• Ensure performance, scalability, and consistency across platforms

Analytics & AI Enablement

• Use Python for advanced data processing and analytics
• Develop and maintain Jupyter Notebooks
• Implement MLflow for experiment tracking and model lifecycle
• Support Azure OpenAI and AI-driven solutions

BI & Data Consumption

• Deliver curated datasets for Power BI and BI tools
• Optimize data structures for reporting and dashboards
• Ensure seamless integration between data platforms and visualization layers

Engineering Excellence

• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workloads
• Enforce secure data handling and sensitive data protection
• Monitor and resolve pipeline failures and performance issues
• Drive automation, observability, and operational excellence

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements
• Establish data lineage, auditing, and access control frameworks

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure SQL / Synapse
  • Azure Data Lake
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and analytics
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (star & snowflake)
• Experience with MLflow and notebook-based development
• Strong understanding of pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting

Leadership & Core Competencies

• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to influence architectural decisions and drive best practices
• Strategic mindset with focus on scalability and innovation

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated industries (banking, mining, etc.)
• Exposure to Azure OpenAI and AI integrations
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, evaluation, and experimentation frameworks

Education:

Degree: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
