EY- GDS - Data and Analytics – Associate Director – Databricks Solutions Architect-GTM
As part of our EY-GDS D&A (Data and Analytics) team, we help our clients solve complex business challenges with the help of data and technology. We dive deep into data to extract the greatest value and discover opportunities in key business and functions like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Auto, Supply Chain, and Finance.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a candidate with 18+ years with strong architect expertise into Databricks Solutions Architect - GTM and delivery lead
Role Purpose:
- Lead Go-To-Market (GTM) and pre-sales initiatives focused on Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLflow, and GenAI/Mosaic AI solutions.
- Own end-to-end technical and solution responses for RFPs, RFIs, and proactive deal pursuits.
- Act as a Databricks solution evangelist, enabling pipeline growth through strong technical storytelling, business value articulation, and differentiated solution positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage RFP/RFI technical solution responses for Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, and AI/GenAI offerings.
- Support proactive GTM pursuits by designing end-to-end solution architectures, reference frameworks, and value-driven proposals.
- Develop solution collateral including architecture diagrams, pitch decks, proposal content, and GTM assets aligned to Databricks platform capabilities.
- Define solution positioning and competitive differentiators around Databricks Lakehouse, Photon, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, and ML/AI workloads.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, data engineering, and platform architecture teams to ensure proposal feasibility and execution readiness.
- Participate in customer discovery workshops to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Databricks-based solutions.
- Drive standardization of reusable GTM assets such as proposal templates, reference architectures, accelerators, and industry-specific use cases.
- Support internal enablement programs by contributing to Databricks sales playbooks, solution catalogs, and technical enablement sessions.
- Stay up to date with Databricks product roadmap, Lakehouse innovations, Mosaic AI capabilities, and GenAI ecosystem trends.
Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on pre-sales, solution architecture, or GTM experience in data platforms, analytics, or cloud ecosystems.
- Strong working knowledge of Databricks (Lakehouse Platform) and Apache Spark with at least one production implementation or Databricks certification.
- Solid understanding of cloud data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern analytics ecosystems.
- Experience designing scalable data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, presentation, whiteboarding, and proposal authoring skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value narratives.
Desired / Preferred
- Experience with GenAI workloads, LLM integration, and Databricks Mosaic AI use cases.
- Exposure to real-time streaming architectures using Kafka, Structured Streaming, or Delta Live Tables.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and MLOps practices using tools such as MLflow, Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience building demos, POCs, and solution accelerators using notebooks, Dashboards, or Streamlit apps on Databricks.
- Business acumen supported by MBA or equivalent management qualification.
Nice to Have
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Energy, Smart Cities, Automotive, or Logistics
- Exposure to reinforcement learning or synthetic data generation
