We’re looking for a Full-stack Engineer (front-end focussed) at EY GDS. You will work on designing and implementing modern web applications with a focus on front-end development using Angular or React.js with TypeScript. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and manage scalable back-end services, APIs, and database integrations that meet business needs and leverage best practices in full-stack development and cloud technologies. EY Risk and Compliance Engineering is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Risk and Compliance Engineering (RCE) practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s RCE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

Your key responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications using React.js with TypeScript.
• API Integration: Work with REST APIs and GraphQL services for data integration.
• Back-End Development: Build and maintain back-end technologies using Python, or Node.js and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• CI/CD Management: Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Technology Updates: Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply best practices in performance and security.

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills:

• Over 4+years of experience in full-stack application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular or React.js and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of modern web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).
• Experience with state management, component-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Python, or Node.js for back-end development and frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or ExpressJS
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience with Python, or Node.js for back-end development and frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or ExpressJS
• Development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (eg:MongoDB/CassandraDB).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with one of the cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git
• Excellent communication and reasoning skills

Preferred Experience:

• Domain: Prior experience in the Financial Services / FS Risk domain.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI concepts, such as LLM fundamentals and prompt engineering. Ability to work with AI APIs or AI-powered components in application development.

Education:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
