We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with 4-6 years of IT experience and strong expertise in OpenStack and OpenShift. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade private and hybrid cloud platforms. You will drive automation, enable containerization, and support application modernization initiatives. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with architects and developers, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to building secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions.

Your key responsibilities
OpenStack Cloud Management
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Horizon, Ceph).
- Troubleshoot and optimize compute, storage, and networking components.
- Support VMware-to-OpenStack migrations and workload onboarding.
OpenShift And Containerization
- Set up and manage OpenShift clusters, including scaling, patching, and operator lifecycle management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) with DevSecOps practices.
- Support application teams with containerization, microservices deployment, and service mesh adoption.
Automation And Scripting
- Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm.
- Standardize Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and lifecycle management.
Security And Governance
- Implement RBAC, IAM, and network policies in OpenStack and OpenShift.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, CIS, and NIST standards.
Collaboration And Leadership
- Work closely with architects, developers, and security teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices.
- Provide L3 support and lead root cause analysis for incidents.
- Skills and attributes for success
Required Skills:
- 4-6 years of IT experience, with 3–5 years in OpenStack and 3–5 years in OpenShift/Kubernetes.
- Strong Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration skills.
- Expertise in networking (SDN, VLAN, VXLAN) and storage (Ceph, iSCSI, NFS).
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go scripting.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, OpenShift Logging.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD and cloud-native design principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Red Hat OpenShift Specialist, CKA/CKS, COA.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and OpenStack/OpenShift integration.
- Prior consulting or customer-facing role experience.
Education:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
