We’re looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect at EY GDS. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering. EY Digital Engineering is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Digital Engineering practice works with clients to analyse, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing digital challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, customer, growth, profit optimization, innovation, technology strategy, and digital transformation.  We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization.  Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s DE team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

Your key responsibilities

• Extensive experience in application development using .NET Core, with the ability to architect scalable and high-performance enterprise solutions
• Strong understanding of MACH architecture (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) and its application in designing modern, composable digital platforms
• Deep expertise in cloud design principles and the Azure Well-Architected Framework, ensuring solutions meet standards for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud foundations and infrastructure, including networking, identity, security, and data architecture, aligned with enterprise-grade requirements
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including rehosting, re-platforming, and rearchitecting legacy applications
• Hands-on expertise with Azure PaaS services across compute, web, integration, data, and AI, enabling the design of cloud-native and scalable solutions
• Strong proficiency in DevOps practices, including designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
• Advanced experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Bicep, enabling automated, consistent, and repeatable cloud deployments
• Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles along with practical experience using Entity Framework for building domain-aligned applications
• In-depth knowledge of cloud-native design patterns and distributed system architectures, including event-driven and microservices-based solutions
• Experience in designing and implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions, leveraging Azure AI Services and Microsoft Foundry to deliver innovative, business-driven use cases

• Successfully design and deliver secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Azure architectures aligned with business and technology objectives
• Drive end-to-end cloud transformation initiatives, including migration, modernization, and adoption of cloud-native patterns
• Ensure adherence to the Azure Well-Architected Framework, improving reliability, performance, and operational excellence across solutions
• Lead the implementation of automation and DevOps practices, enabling faster and more efficient software delivery through CI/CD and IaC
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture and development
• Deliver innovative solutions leveraging advanced Azure services, including AI/GenAI, to create measurable business value
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures and ensure successful project outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar certifications.
• Experience: At least 12 Years of experience in an application engineering role with a focus on Azure technologies.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

Education:

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
