Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centres. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.
Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

The Opportunity: Senior Cloud Native Developer (AWS)
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cloud-native architectures are at the core of scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise platforms. EY GDS is looking for a Senior Cloud Native Developer who will play a critical role in designing, building, and modernizing cloud-first solutions for global clients.
As part of our global delivery teams, you will work on complex transformation programs, contribute to next-generation digital platforms, and apply modern engineering practices across distributed systems, DevOps, and AI-enabled services.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices using: Node.js and Python.
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging managed services and event-driven architectures
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected cloud solutions following AWS best practices
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services with strong focus on performance, observability, and fault tolerance
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release strategies to enable continuous delivery
- Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and product teams across global engagements
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and cost-optimization principles in cloud implementations
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring of junior developers
- Contribute to modernization initiatives including monolith-to-microservices, cloud migration, and re-platforming
Technical Skills – Primary
- Proficiency in backend programming languages: Node.js and Python
- Strong understanding of cloud-native design patterns: Microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless computing
- Node.js / Python Core Skills
- Node.js runtime fundamentals, asynchronous programming (event loop, callbacks, promises, async/await)
- Python language fundamentals (Python 3.x), functional constructs, generators, decorators, context managers
- Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency models, and performance optimization
- Backend Frameworks & Libraries
- Node.js frameworks: Express.js, NestJS, Fastify or equivalent
- Python frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Django (REST-oriented usage)
- Middleware design, request lifecycle handling, validation, error handling
- API & Integration
- RESTful API development and design best practices
- API specification & documentation (OpenAPI / Swagger)
- JSON-based data exchange and API versioning strategies
- Persistence & Data Access
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora)
- NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis)
- ORM / data access libraries:
- Unit and integration testing frameworks:
- Node.js: Jest, Mocha, Chai, Supertest
- Python: PyTest, unittest
- AWS Cloud (Hands-on)
- Strong hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS
- AWS compute & serverless services: Lambda, ECS, EKS, EC2
- Messaging & integration: SNS, SQS, EventBridge
- Storage & databases: S3, RDS, DynamoDB
- API & networking: API Gateway, VPC, Subnets, Route 53
- Security & monitoring: IAM, CloudWatch, ACM
Technical Skills – Secondary
- DevOps practices: CI/CD, automated builds, testing, and deployments
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS – preferred)
- Exposure to GenAI / AI-enabled services, such as:
- Integrating LLM APIs
- Using AI services within cloud-native workflows
- Prompt-driven or agent-based application patterns like RAG, MCP
Good to Have
- Experience with UI technologies (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
- Familiarity with full-stack development and frontend-backend integration
- Exposure to observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing)
- Knowledge of API security, OAuth, and identity integration
- Prior experience in enterprise-scale delivery environments
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 4 to 8 years of overall IT experience, with strong focus on cloud-native development
- Proven experience delivering production-grade AWS solutions
- Hands-on experience with modern SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
