Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence
- About the Role The CSR Advisory serves clients at all stages of their journey- from nascent CSR entities beginning to frame their social impact vision, to mature foundations and long-standing programs creating powerful ecosystem-level change. The consultant role invites applications from professionals with experience in program evaluations, research- skilled in statistical research and communications, and a strong communications profile. You will be involved in: 1. Formulating research proposals and notes, including developing appropriate research questions, research designs, theoretical approaches, frameworks, methodologies, and sample size calculations. 2. Conducting ethically sound, participatory field research. 3. Conducting statistically robust quantitative and qualitative analysis using computer assisted tools. 4. Making strategic recommendations to improve program outcomes and efficiency. 5. Writing reports and creating impact/strategy decks. Skills Required: 1. Strong understanding of Program Evaluations, Monitoring, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Systems. 2. Client centricity and ability to translate data into strategic decisions. 3. Comfort with analyzing and extracting data from publicly available databases including NSSO, NFHS, Census, etc. 4. Strong understanding of econometric tools & analysis- including sample size calculations, correlations, regressions, OLS, and hypothesis testing- and strong understanding of micro- and macro-economic trends. 5. Deep sectoral understanding of India’s rural ecosystem and participatory field research methodologies. 6. Familiarity with research approaches, designs, and methodologies across baseline, midline, endline, and process evaluations. 7. High proficiency in MS Office- especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 8. Strong academic written and oral communication skills; comfort with versatile forms of writing including reports, white papers, and policy memos. Added Advantage 1. Knowledge of qualitative data approaches and analysis using CAQDAS tools such as Atlas.ti/NVivo. 2. Knowledge of GIS tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS and data visualization tools such as Tableau.

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
- "Graduation/Masters in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Work, or other Social Sciences, or in any field relevant to development assistance", Data Science professionals with a strong understanding of Social Impact Programs may also be considered.
Experience
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of progressively responsible work experience across sectors such as education, health, food security & nutrition, poverty & livelihood, etc., within consulting firms, think tanks, or multilateral organizations.
- Minimum 3 or more years of experience in program evaluations, research studies, and analytical work using modern analytical software (R/Python/Google Colab/Stata/SPSS/Atlas.ti/NVivo).
