Technology Solution Lead – Manager

(Finance, Accounting and Tax | Technology Presales | Managed Services)

Role Summary

As an EY Global Managed Services – Technology Solution Lead (TSL), you will own and execute technology solutioning and presales for finance focused, technology powered managed services deals. Translate finance, accounting and tax requirements of clients, into cloud ready, costed, and delivery feasible technology solutions. This is a technology presales role, not business consulting or delivery.

Responsibilities

• Technology Solutioning
  • Lead technology led requirement discovery with finance, accounting and tax stakeholders
  • Define end-to-end technology scope across ERP, cloud, data, integration, and AI
  • Act as the primary technology solution owner for the deal

• Deal Shaping & Architecture
  • Design solution architectures across presales stages
  • Assess feasibility, delivery approach, resourcing, and cost
  • Build cloud first solutions for finance domains (R2R, P2P, O2C, Controls, Reporting, etc)
  • Integrate client and EY technology solutions into a managed services construct

• Proposal Development
  • Own technology sections of proposals.
  • Define transition, transformation, and steady state technology models.
  • Recommend ERP, cloud, data, automation, and AI components aligned to deal outcomes.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• End-to-end Technology Solution Engineering:

RFI/RFP response - Engineer deal level solution designs spanning integration with diverse client systems and data sources → EY data solutions → EY finance and accounting solutions (SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud/Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC / F&O and the likes) → agentic AI and specialist finance SaaS platforms.

• Technical Landscape Transition & Assumptions:

Define technology solution transition and transformation models, integration patterns, data movement, AI infusion, cloud constraints, extensibility approach, and non functional assumptions —excluding functional configuration or blueprinting.

• Feasibility, Sizing & Commercial Inputs:

Provide hard inputs on technical feasibility, delivery approach, effort drivers, dependencies, constraints, risks, and cost (including TCO/ROI) levers across the full technology solution stack, including best-of breed AI bolt- ons.

• Presales to Delivery Technical Handover:

Package technology scope, solution architectures, assumptions, and constraints for delivery teams to execute post deal close; support mobilization/design authority through early transition as needed.

• Emerging Technology Awareness:

Evaluate applicability of emerging technologies (cloud services, data platforms, AI/agentic solutions) within deal solutions and incorporate them where they materially improve feasibility, scalability, or commercial outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Technology Led Consulting Mindset (Finance, Accounting & Tax)

Experience applying digital finance transformation concepts strictly through technology solutioning, deal shaping, and presales engineering along with next-gen finance operating model design and advisory.

• Finance Domain Context (Functional)

Finance, accounting, tax and reporting knowledge - sufficient to understand requirements, make architecture, integration, and feasibility decisions across multi-ERP anchored solutions.

• ERP Anchored Presales Solutioning

Multiple hands-on implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA(preferred) and/or Dynamics 365 BC / F&O, with deep understanding of R2R, P2P and O2C process areas.

• Multi-Component Stack Design

Solutioning across integrations → data/ETL → ERP → specialist / AI finance platforms (e.g., Blackline, HighRadius, Hypatos, Caseware, TR OneSource, Vertex and similar tools).

• Cloud, Data & Integration Architecture

Working knowledge of multi-cloud architectures, data platforms, and crosssystem integrations across hybrid (cloud + on-prem) environments.

• Presales Execution Ownership

Direct ownership of RFI/RFP tech responses, managed services proposals, tech solution write ups, and client orals for large enterprise pursuits.

• Feasibility, Costing & Risk Discipline

Ability to synthesize functional and non functional requirements, build multi component cost models (incl. TCO/ROI), and manage RAID during presales.

• Executive Communication & Stakeholder Alignment

Crisp verbal and written communication with senior executives and proven ability to align globally distributed, cross functional stakeholders across pursuits.

Proven ability to influence without authority in deal and presales contexts.

• Global Delivery Exposure

Hands on experience working across offshore / onsite models and multiple geographies.

• Delivery & Engineering Awareness

Familiarity with SAFe and DevOps practices sufficient to assess feasibility during presales.

• Architecture Discipline

Exposure to architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF / IASA) applied practically to solution design. Certification is desired by not mandatory.

• Service Design Awareness

Working knowledge of IT service strategy and design concepts (e.g., ITIL v3/v4) relevant to managed services. Certification is desired by not mandatory.

• Mobility

Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as required for pursuits and client engagements.

Job Requirements:

• Education:
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • MBA in Finance/Operations preferred
  • Certifications in any of data, AI, architecture framework (TOGAF) or ERP (SAP, Dynamics, etc) preferred

• Experience:
  • 12+ years of total professional experience across technology, business development & thought leadership, of which
  • 4+ years of technology presales/solution consulting experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on techno-functional ERP implementation experiences across core modules – P2P, O2C and R2R
