Cyber Managed Service – Identity and access Management – Senior
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Consultant for Entra SSO Operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identity and access management, with extensive experience in managing and optimizing Entra SSO solutions. This role will involve leading operational initiatives, providing expert guidance, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our SSO environment.
Key Requirements / Responsibilities:
- Provide expert L2 and L3 support for Entra SSO-related issues, including troubleshooting complex user access problems, application integration challenges, and system outages.
- Lead the management of user identities and organizational groups within the Entra SSO platform, ensuring accurate and timely provisioning and deprovisioning of access rights.
- Oversee the integration of new applications into the Entra SSO environment, collaborating with application owners and IT teams to ensure seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality.
- Monitor Entra SSO system performance and logs, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users and implementing performance optimization strategies.
- Develop and maintain Entra SSO policy documentation, user guides, and training materials to support end-users and promote best practices across the organization.
- Experience with App Registration and Enterprise applications
- Conduct regular security reviews and audits of Entra SSO configurations to ensure alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Drive the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policies across the organization to enhance security posture and user experience.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to refine and enforce access control policies, ensuring the principle of least privilege is maintained and compliance is achieved.
- Manage the resolution of tickets and service requests related to Entra SSO, prioritizing based on impact and urgency, and mentoring junior staff in troubleshooting techniques.
- Stay updated on new Entra SSO features and updates, participating in relevant training and knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain expertise in the platform and share insights with the team.
- Provide strategic feedback and suggestions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Entra SSO service, including identifying automation opportunities and process enhancements.
- Drive the automation and optimization of operational processes to enhance system reliability and reduce manual workload.
- Mentor junior operations analysts and contribute to the development of training materials and best practices
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience); master’s degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations or support, with a focus on identity and access management, specifically with Entra SSO or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and standards (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and their application in SSO environments.
- Proven experience in leading operational initiatives and managing complex technical issues.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in consulting role is preferred, with a track record of delivering high-quality service to clients.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, ITIL, or similar
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Work Requirements:
- Willingness to travel as required
- Willingness to be on call support engineer and work occasional overtime as required
- Willingness to work in shifts as required
