Job Description: Digital Health- Consultant- Healthcare Domain
Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Health Consultant with strong expertise in healthcare domain processes (payer/provider) and hands‑on experience in data, analytics, and AI‑driven problem solving.
The ideal candidate is healthcare-first - strong understanding of digital health ecosystems, care delivery models, clinical or operational workflows and analytically strong with exposure to data science, forecasting, and AI/ML concepts.
This role is perfect for someone who can operate at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and analytics, and ideally brings consulting experience in client-facing settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with healthcare stakeholders (payers, providers, digital health platforms) to understand business needs, patient/member journeys, care pathways, and operational workflows.
- Analyze and design solutions across digital health use cases such as virtual care & telehealth, remote patient monitoring, care coordination & chronic care management, digital front‑door and patient engagement, population health & digital therapeutics etc.
- Evaluate current-state digital health capabilities and define future-state operating models, solution roadmaps, and transformation opportunities.
- Lead or support requirement discussions, workshops, and solution design sessions with client teams. Present findings, build narratives, and provide strategic recommendations to business and clinical leaders.
- Prepare structured documentation: BRDs, user journeys, data dictionaries, analytics summaries, and recommendation decks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, engineering, analytics, clinical SMEs) for successful delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in healthcare, ideally in digital health, health-tech, or payer/provider transformation.
- Strong understanding of healthcare business processes such as claims, eligibility, enrollment, care management, UM/CM, provider operations, or digital care delivery workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with data analysis, SQL, and healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, clinical, CRM, patient engagement).
- Strong problem‑solving skills with ability to translate business issues into analytical or digital solutions.
- Consulting experience preferred, including client communication and cross-functional coordination.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with US healthcare payers, providers, health plans, digital health vendors, or health-tech startups.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, CMS programs, HEDIS, quality measures).
- Exposure to FHIR, HL7, interoperability API frameworks, or digital health technology stacks.
- Hands-on or close collaboration experience with data science, NLP, or analytics teams.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau; basic understanding of Python or R is a plus.
