Senior Consultant (1/2/3) – Sustainability CoE
We are seeking a sustainability professional who can help organizations move beyond compliance and reporting to unlock measurable business value through sustainability. The role focuses on driving growth, resilience, operational excellence, sustainable supply chains, and innovation by embedding sustainability into core business and transformation strategies.
The opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to help organizations integrate sustainability into business strategy and operations. The role focuses on ESG strategy, sustainable supply chain, sustainability reporting, regulatory compliance, decarbonization, climate risk, circular economy, and digital sustainability solutions across industries including FMCG, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, consumer products, retail, infra and energy.
- Lead sustainability assessments, materiality assessments, and ESG maturity evaluations to identify value creation opportunities and strategic priorities.
- Develop sustainability strategies that drive business growth, operational resilience, cost optimization, and long-term enterprise value.
- Identify and quantify sustainability-driven opportunities across products, operations, supply chains, and customer offerings.
- Lead GHG accounting, carbon management, and decarbonization initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and unlock business value.
- Design and implement sustainable supply chain and procurement strategies focused on resilience, responsible sourcing, supplier performance, and value chain decarbonization.
- Advise clients on integrating sustainability into core business strategy, operating models, investment decisions, and transformation programs.
- Drive circular economy, resource efficiency, and sustainable innovation initiatives to create new revenue streams and enhance competitiveness.
- Assess and mitigate ESG, climate, and supply chain risks while identifying opportunities for business continuity and sustainable growth.
- Leverage sustainability data, analytics, and digital technologies to generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Translate sustainability insights into compelling business cases, investment roadmaps, and executive-level recommendations.
- Build sustainability capabilities across supply chain, procurement, operations, finance, and commercial functions to embed sustainable value creation.
- Manage client engagements and serve as a trusted advisor on sustainability-led transformation, growth, and value realization.
- Support business development, solution development, and thought leadership focused on sustainability as a driver of competitive advantage and measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in sustainability, ESG consulting, climate advisory, sustainable supply chains, procurement, manufacturing, packaging, or related sustainability-focused roles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Climate Studies, Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering client-facing sustainability, ESG, climate, or value chain transformation engagements
- Experience in climate strategy, GHG accounting, decarbonization, circular economy, sustainable product development, and low-carbon product strategies
- Strong understanding of Digital Product Passport (DPP), product transparency requirements, value chain traceability, and emerging sustainability regulations
- Experience in sustainable supply chain, responsible sourcing, supplier sustainability, value chain decarbonization, and supply chain resilience initiatives
- Experience supporting ESG ratings, assessments, and supplier sustainability programs, including EcoVadis, CDP, MSCI ESG Ratings, Sustainalytics, S&P Global CSA, and similar frameworks
- Knowledge of sustainability regulations and frameworks such as CSRD, ESRS, CBAM, EUDR, PPWR, ESPR, GHG Protocol, and ISO 14040/14044
- Experience working with sustainability data, analytics, reporting, and digital sustainability platforms
- Ability to develop business cases and translate sustainability insights into executive-level recommendations, transformation roadmaps, and value creation opportunities
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, procurement, finance, technology, product development, and risk functions
- Hands-on experience using AI, Generative AI, and digital tools in daily project delivery to accelerate analysis, automate reporting, improve packaging and sustainability insights, and enhance supply chain visibility and traceability
Preferred Certifications
- GRI, ISSB, CSRD, CESGA, or other ESG reporting certifications.
- GHG Protocol, CDP, or carbon accounting certifications.
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 50001, ISO 14040/14044 certifications.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent sustainability credential.
- Sustainability, climate risk, or ESG-related professional certifications
Industries
- Experience across FMCG, consumer products, retail, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, industrial products, energy, utilities, and other sustainability-focused sectors is preferred.
