Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Consultant/Associate Manager in Commercial & Real-World Data Analytics with strong experience in leveraging pharmaceutical data to drive commercial decision-making.

The role involves collaborating with global EY teams to deliver insights using real-world data, claims data, and electronic health records (EHR) to solve diverse business problems and support business strategy.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Proven experience in utilizing EMR and claims data
• Strong statistical programming skills
• Expertise in managing multiple studies and complex analyses
• Prior experience in the oncology therapy area (a key requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Build Analytical Models & Insights
  • Drive the creation of analytic datasets by transforming raw data and performing rigorous data validation and cleaning. Utilize real-world data sources such as claims, EHR, and laboratory data from providers like Optum, HealthVerity, and TriNetX
  • Oversee assessment of real-world data sources to evaluate feasibility, define patient populations, construct cohorts, and establish as well as validate key study-specific variables
  • Develop analytical frameworks, clear hypotheses, and structured approaches
  • Execute modelling in Python/R/SQL where required
  • Conduct quality checks, validate outputs, and ensure reproducibility
• Dashboarding & Reporting
  • Build dashboards in Power BI / Tableau for brand and commercial teams
  • Automate recurring reporting workflows
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and stakeholder usability
  • Translate Analytics to Business Recommendations
  • Convert data outputs into concise, commercially relevant insights
  • Provide implications for marketing, sales, launch, or strategy teams
  • Prepare leadership-ready slides, summaries, and recommendations
• Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with EY global teams to scope analytics needs and refine problem statements
  • Present insights to internal and client-facing teams
  • Align on timelines, risks, and quality standards
• Team Contribution
  • Mentor junior analysts on analytics, quality checks, and storytelling
  • Contribute to playbooks, code libraries, and best-practice templates
  • Works with senior stakeholders to deliver timely and qualitative updates of project timelines, scope, and utilization of resource hours

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 3 to 7 years of experience in pharma commercial analytics, analytics consulting or data science
• Hands-on experience with pharma datasets (IQVIA, Komodo, SP/HUB, Diaceutics, Optum, CRM, Digital logs) and familiarity with US/EU commercial model
• Combination of technical skills (SQL and R/Python/Other) and industry knowledge (healthcare/medical and pharmaceutical).    

Technical Skills

• Hands-on with SQL (must) and Python/R (preferred)
• Strong analytical and statistical skills
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with ETL tools (Azure data factory, AWS Glue, Talend, Pentaho).
• Domain Knowledge

Understanding of:

• Broad overview of the US pharma market
• Basic treatment flows and therapeutic familiarity (oncology preferred)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking
• Ability to independently convert analytics into clear business narratives
• Effective communication across time zones
• Attention to detail, quality mindset and ability to manage multiple projects

Preferred (Good-to-Have)

• Experience supporting US commercial teams
