Your key responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Director to implement our strategic initiatives across the Resource Management / Workforce Management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for program managing functional strategic initiatives, maintaining the program charter, establishing a formal review and traction cadence, and aligning all stakeholders to the central agenda. The incumbent will work to facilitate the program rollouts through bringing together the diverse teams and their perspectives towards common objectives through a strong SME mindset that helps balance both functional and larger organisation interests. Additionally, the role involves supporting transformation programs and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for workforce optimization initiatives.
The role demands a strategic thinker who can analyse data to drive decision-making and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive program management framework for all strategic initiatives / global programs pertaining to the Resource Management / Workforce Management function.
- Lead the planning and execution of strategic functional program rollouts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Create and uphold the program charter, outlining the objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the function.
- Establish and conduct a formal review and traction cadence to monitor progress, address issues and ensure all leads are aligned with the central agenda.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback and implementing best practices for future program rollouts.
- Monitor and report on the progress of program initiatives, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate strategic initiatives with broader organizational goals.

- Facilitate communication and reporting to stakeholders, including the preparation of executive summaries, progress reports, and presentations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies that may impact or benefit the function.
- Create and present leadership decks to keep key stakeholders informed of key functional updates, progress, and strategic insights.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or strategic project management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in workforce management or resource management functions will be preferred
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience in supporting and leading transformational change within an organization.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and align diverse teams towards a common goal.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
