Senior Integration Designer
EY Technology:
EY Technology supports our technological needs through three business units:
- Client Technology (CT): Develops new technology services for clients.
- Enterprise Technology (ET): Supports Core Business Services functions and internal technology needs.
- Information Security (InfoSec): Prevents, detects, mitigates, and responds to cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data.
The opportunity
The Senior Integrations Designer will support the business, application, data and infrastructure designs. This role will deliver a variety of integration requests which includes development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of applications. The Senior Designer will work closely with the Lead Designer in leadership of Junior Designers on day-to-day work efforts. The Senior Designer will write more complex scripts, possess data modeling skills and understanding of complex application coding, software design pattern of databases and application services (queues, caching, etc.). The experience required is 5 years developer experience (coding projects or security technical accomplishments/achievements)..
This position primary focus is developing security solutions for Identity Management, Cyber Defense or Compliance. This position will help to develop appropriate software and documentation according to EY’s standards and methodologies, as well as support and troubleshoot applications, computer systems, related appliances including optimizing performance and resolving problems
Key responsibilities (analytical/decision making/supervisory): Describe the tasks and responsibilities typically required in this role and the extent to which decisions might be made which will require interpretation/judgment. What degree of supervision over others is required in this role?
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for internal use, perform defect corrections (analysis, design, and code).
- Create and maintain components that integrate with security technologies such as through API’s
- Perform Code reviews, recommend corrective actions
- Work with team lead to ensure that the EY’s methodology, standards, and procedures are adopted and implemented.
- Ensure EY security requirements in all solutions.
- Develop quality code and integrations to help minimum re-work and defect testing
- Interface and communicate with project teams, operations, support, management and stakeholders
- Manage request work to successful and timely completion of the project
- Work within defined governance processes
- Lead the development request solution summary and scope, and ensure delivery of the solution to schedule, budget and scope
- Ensures that quality code standards are met as prescribed by IT Services through the effective implementation or use of approved processes,tools, methodologies and deliverables
Analytical Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify risks and issues on delivering integration requests as planned by developing contingency strategies
- Anticipates problems before they occur; defines the problem or risk; identifies possible causes; works with team to identify solutions; selects and implements most appropriate solution
- Analytical skills and problem solving skills needed to manage multiple factors on a project simultaneously
- Demonstrate business analytics to manage and meet sponsor and customer needs
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Senior integration designer is expected to act independently to deliver integration solutions to schedule, budget and scope; support provided as required and requested, and is self-driven and motivated for completing work
- assignments.
- Senior integration designer leads ithe ntegration designers consisting of global and virtual staff; assigns responsibility to members and monitors progress
- Senior integration manager directs and supports less experienced integration managers.

Basic Qualifications
- BS/MS degree preferred in a technical or scientific field.
- 5+ years of software development experience required, with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working with services and integration technologies
- Programming languages and database or web knowledge or experience should include at least 5 to 7 of the following - Java, Microsoft .NET, SQL, C, PHP, JavaScript, C++, Python, Ruby, Objective-C and C#, Oracle, Linux, Windows Power Shell, Cobol and Visual Basic DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, HTML and CSS
Other Specific Requirements
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Must have extensive knowledge of IT Infrastructure and application deployments.
- Must have knowledge of Information Security and have significant experience in delivering solutions in these technical areasEducation:
- Work experience in a professional services industry, preferred
- Experience delivering solutions within a structured delivery methodology.

Certification Requirements:
- Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) certifications or other Information Security related a plus
