The opportunity  

Join EY Technology Consulting Serbia and become part of a growing team of more than 85 professionals, including Software Engineers, QA specialists, UX/UI designers, DevOps engineers and Project Managers. 

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead the quality assurance stream within complex technology delivery programmes. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the testing strategy, coordinating test activities across workstreams, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring high-quality project outcomes. 

This is a project-focused leadership role where you will act as the senior testing authority and key stakeholder advisor. While you will provide guidance, coaching, and direction to testing teams throughout the project lifecycle, this position does not include line management or people leadership responsibilities. Success in this role is driven by technical expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to lead testing delivery across large-scale initiatives. 

 

Your key responsibilities  

  • Drive an automation-first approach and continuously increase automated test coverage. 

  • Manage QA resources, priorities, risks, and delivery commitments. 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and Architects throughout the delivery lifecycle. 

  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and requirements elaboration sessions. 

  • Ensure quality throughout in-sprint testing, regression testing, release testing, and production readiness activities. 

  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics, defect trends, and release readiness indicators. 

  • Identify and resolve testing bottlenecks related to environments, dependencies, and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Lead the implementation of AI-driven quality engineering practices and foster the adoption of innovative testing technologies 

  • Mentor QA Engineers and contribute to the development of a strong quality culture. 

 

Skills and attributes for success  

  • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. 

  • 2+ years of experience leading QA teams on projects. 

  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies. 

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, Selenium, Playwright , Appium, or similar automation frameworks. 

  • Good understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • BDD experience (Cucumber, Gherkin). 

  • Experience working closely with development teams and business stakeholders. 

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

  • Excellent English communication skills. 

  • Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms. 

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, or similar tools. 
     

Ideally, you’ll also have 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field 

  • Relevant testing certifications 

  • Consulting or client-facing project experience 

  • Experience with performance, operational acceptance, or non-functional testing.
