Join EY Technology Consulting Serbia and become part of a growing team of more than 85 professionals, including Software Engineers, QA specialists, UX/UI designers, DevOps engineers and Project Managers. 

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a key contributor within Agile delivery teams, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automated testing solutions while championing quality throughout the software development lifecycle.You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, architects, and product teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of delivery, leveraging modern automation frameworks and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and accelerate feedback loops. 

Your key responsibilities  

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for web, mobile, API, and backend applications. 

• Contribute to an automation-first testing strategy and continuously improve automated test coverage. 

• Participate in backlog refinement, requirements elaboration, sprint planning, and solution design discussions. 

• Partner with developers and business stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria and test scenarios. 

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices. 

• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and improve test reliability and framework stability. 

• Support release readiness activities, regression testing, and production validation efforts. 

• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve test design, automation development, defect analysis, and quality reporting. 

• Contribute to the evolution of quality engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices. 

• Mentor team members and promote a strong quality engineering culture. 

Skills and attributes for success  

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering. 

• Strong hands-on experience with test automation development. 

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript and modern automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium. 

• Experience with API testing. 

• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and Scrum practices. 

• Experience working with Git and modern development workflows. 

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing principles. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 

• Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions. 

• Experience implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using tools such as Cucumber and Gherkin. 

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms. 

• Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms. 

• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications and transformation programs. 

Ideally, you’ll also have 

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field 

• Relevant testing certifications 

• Consulting or client-facing project experience 

• Experience with performance, operational acceptance, or non-functional testing.
